The rooms are tired and need an update but other wise they are fine, I couldn't find an internet connection, do they have one? The breakfast must be one of the best cooked breakfasts I have ever had and I have had many......

A very nice hotel. Pretty from the outside. The room was clean and well maintained with a nice size bathroom and shower. I didn't eat there but did go to the bar which was fairly expensive but worth it as it was comfortable with a very pleasant barman. Good size car park and 100 yards from the railway station. I would definitely go again.

Easy walking distance to downtown area with many restaurants and places to shop. Friendly staff, classic, well maintained old hotel.

Good choice of hotel. Hotel condition is good and room was in good condition with modern bathroom and good power shower. Used the EV charging point at front of hotel. 2 available. Says it’s 22kw but it really is only 7kw. Tip for using them don’t use the QR code on the terminal. Download the app and pay thru that. Breakfast was good and GF options were available for my wife. She said the GF sausages were horrible but that’s not the hotels fault 😂 Only complaint during our stay was that it looked like the room hadn’t been hoovered. Lots of white fluff or tiny paper scraps all over floor at bathroom entrance and behind room door. We were up for a quick overnight and early departure so didn’t mention it to reception till we were paying bill. Young team of staff who were welcoming and friendly. All in I would recommend a stay here if you are visiting Elgin Hotel is 5 mins walk from town centre

Laichmoray Hotel Elgin. Great location, a 3 minute walk from train station, with trains direct to/from Inverness airport. Warm, helpful and friendly welcome from all hotel staff. Room was modern, comfortable and clean - perfect for my one night stay. We had dinner at the hotel on night of our arrival which was excellent - as was breakfast the following morning. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Laichmoray and can highly recommend this hotel for a stopover in Elgin.

Enjoyed our stay at the Laichmoray for a night as my partner was going to a retirement party for work, always enjoy staying here when I go a trip to Elgin as the rooms are lovely and bed so comfortable breakfast was very good also

Very average service, Tea/coffee tray on the bottom shelf of a cupboard under hanging clothes, bizarre. WiFi terrible in room - could get any work done - better in bar to be honest. Bathroom - very very bizarre - sink is on the back of the toilet. To shave I had the toilet bowl between my legs. I am small & I'm glad, smallest bathroom in history, quite amusing. Breakfast - order night before by 8pm! Another bizarre one - not sure of reason - maybe chef struggles with demand so knowing what I want so knowing what I want 12 hours in advance gives time to prepare! Sausage - tick, bacon - tick etc etc I stay in different hotels across the country twice a week, never seen this! Breakfast lovely though, has to be said. Would I stay again, not sure, just all a little bizarre. Price decent but should be - more expensive for a decent size of room no doubt.

Lovely stay, very nice staff

Stayed one night to split a journey. Hotel was easy to find with lots of parking. Friendly staff, helpful check-in and attentive in nice restaurant. Food was excellent both evening meal and large breakfast. Room neat and tidy with modern clean bathroom

We had a lovely time. Made perfect by the staff service from start to finish. The room was a bit disappointing. It was pretty basic furnishings could be updated. This would not stop us from returning.
