The house Tomas was wonderful! The property is beautiful. We did glamping for the first time and enjoyed it!

Hidden gem! Compared to the places around it for the same price it's fantastic! Very well maintained and you can see the pride they take in keeping it. Highly recommend.

The property was gorgeous! very well kept up, having the 2 pools was nice. Our house was very nice, cute kitchen, very comfy beds, nice big bathroom and hot water! We loved the patio and cooking on charcoal grill. the internet in our house was very inconsistent, but the owner was very helpful and the wifi on the rest of the property was good. very personal service and attention to detail. The house was extremely clean and as an immune- compromised person, i felt very safe here. Was a good value and we would definatly recommend and return.

Great stay! Very calm (4 hectars 8 small houses 2 pools) and quiet. Wild and relaxing - strongly recommend if you want to visit curu (20’ by car) or even as a base for your paqueta ferry (30´) Excellent breakfast with true bread and jam, fruits, eggs etc… We were upgraded just because a better room was available Very nice host - friendly and helpful Hidden gem - go ahead!

I can't overstate how lovely our one night at Lodge Margouillat was. My partner and I stayed there to be close to the airport for our flight the next morning and were blown away by the beauty of the grounds and the hospitality of the owner Tomas. We even got to watch him feed a wild and rare kinkajou! Driving up winding dirt roads to reach the lodge, we didn't expect to be staying in such luxury. Truly an unforgettable glamping experience!

My husband and I live in Costa Rica and took a little vacation in Tambor to celebrate my birthday. It was a three-hour drive from Playas del Coco on very good roads. It was very easy to follow the signs to the hotel, which is a five-minute drive from the main road on narrow dirt roads. We were disappointed when we arrived to find that there was a steep pathway from the parking area to the reception and rooms. However, the owner met us and helped carry our bags to the room. The hotel consists of a main lodge/reception area where they serve breakfast and nine cabins tucking into the jungle. There are two swimming pools that looked very nice, but we didn't get a chance to enjoy them. Our cabin/room was large with a king-sized bed, walk-in-closet, and a screened in porch. The bathroom was very nice with one of the largest and best showers that I've ever seen. There was great water pressure, plenty of hot water, and big cozy towels. We stayed three nights. At first, we thought the 10-minute drive into Tambor was too far from the action, but it didn't seem so far after all, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The walkway didn't seem quite so steep by the time we checked out. Although, I wouldn't want to try it in the rainy season. Highly recommended

Thomas, the owner and manager, has created a beautiful setting on 12 acres. With bungalows set in a lush tropical forest with two swimming pools, I sat by the pool listening to the birds and watching the monkeys in the trees above me. He has created a lovely and restful lodge. He was so helpful with recommendations and the breakfast was excellent. It was an easy ride to the Puntarenas Ferry on our last night on the Nicoya Peninsula.

Thomas was a great Host in getting us checked in and showing us to our Casita. The grounds and our rental are luxurious. Very peaceful and quiet. The owners were a pleasure to meet and talk with along with their friends Joe and Janet. The pool was just steps away from our door. Room was equipped with everything you need. Woke up our last day to 12 holler Monkeys outside our window. Easy 8 minute dry to the main road. Very secure, left our windows open all the time. Would strongly recommend staying here, I know we will again!

Beautiful property, very relaxing, great breakfast, excellent host

This is a hilltop garden oasis on 4 hectares owned and managed (meticulously) by Thomas. He toured us all his available bungalows when we arrived. Each was spacious, luxurious, and very private. The landscaping is just stunning. Most bungalows have huge decks that take in the view. Many have exotic birds and shy monkeys in plain view.

This property was a hidden gem of the Tambor area. the grounds were beautifully kept with w nice vista off the main pool. room was spacious and clean with a nice patio view of the tropical forest. Thomas, the host was super attentive and helpful with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Owner was extremely helpful and it seemed clear he was eager to make sure we were pleased. Very nice man.

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay at. You are among luscious greens and great fauna such as monkeys and birds. Excelent choice to stay in tune with nature and relax.
