This establishment is a real little gem. Clean and tidy . Comfy bed and great shower. The owners are a fantastic couple, who will go out of their way for you. This is my second stay and have already booked for next year 😊

We stayed one night at The Brantwood and it is one of a large number of small guest houses in Torquay. The property is a bit shabby in places but all the important details were taken care of. Lovely hospitable host, comfy bed, quiet location yet walking distance to town, tasty breakfast and easy parking. We will definitely be back !

It was a lovely stay with lovely hosts and always there if you needed anything . The room was lovely with coffee and tea making facilities included. There was also a tv with wifi available. A breakfast was also included in the price and plenty of options to choose from. There was also cereals and toast if people preferred that and choices of juiced coffee and tea. The full English that we chose to have was delicious and used high quality produce. Also included a large pot of coffee or a pot of tea and a fresh bottle of milk. The bed was lovely and comfy and the guest house was very clean. A lovely stay and will definitely go back again

1st time in Torquay, definitely will be returning. Our hosts were charming, friendly and helpful. The accommodation is conveniently located if you’re happy to enjoy a short walk to the seafront and onto the town. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants along with the usual seaside activities that you would expect. All in all, a very pleasant stay. Oh, and great start to each day with a lovely cooked breakfast! Hope to see you soon.

The room we stayed in could definitely do with an update but it served a purpose as a one night stay. The hostess and her daughter were great though, couldn’t do enough for you and were a great asset.

Lovely clean little guest house. Host was great & breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choice. Great location & perfect as a bolt hole. Room could do with a little updating, if curtain pole was raised slightly it would stop so much more light from coming in. Would recommend & would stay again.

Warm welcome , everything explained clearly . Light , clean and airy room with mobile cooling fan .Ample car parking and within easy reach of the sea front (20 minute gentle walk). Excellent breakfast , not to be missed . One night stay .We had an appointment in Teignmouth on the Sunday and hotel location was perfect .

We booked a 4 night stay for a well earned rest by the coast. Centrally located in easy walking distance to shops and the seafront. Hosts were fantastic, room very comfy and food excellent. Would recommend this Guest House to anybody including family and friends.

Excellent location at the end of a road in a quiet, quality neighborhood, about midway between the train station and beach, and only 2 scenic blocks from eating and shopping options. The hosts were superb, very friendly and caring, going out their way to ensure that my stay was perfect and providing some very tasty breakfasts exactly as I requested them. There are good parking options too, in case you drive, but as a keen walker I found this place perfect already.

The guest house was very near Torquay station and not far from the main sea front. I was able to walk from the station to the property which saved me money.

Friendly and welcoming owners .Reasonable Price is what we were looking for .Breakfast is a bonus .Most places are charging extra for full English Breakfast.The breakfast is included in the price which means we are saving a lot more .Comfortable room .We could use the dining room for our take away .Nothing is troublesome for this couple .Will definitely stay again soon due my work in Torquay

This should not be discounted due to the low price. The thing that makes this hotel special is the proprietors. Lovely people, and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is lovely and PIPING hot and freshly cooked. I was a single traveller for business, but would not hesitate taking my partner if wexwere visiting the area again. Could have stayed with a chain, but glad i didnt. I totally understand the rating 😀
