Our room was clean tidy and spacious. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The breakfast was very nice too.

This was one of the nicest Hotels that I have stayed in for years. A huge king size bed plus a sofa in a lounge area. The Breakfast was very good as well. The only downside is that the car park is too tight to get into.

Brilliant hotel. Brilliant staff, nothing too much trouble. Room was modern in design and decoration. Bathroom was modern and spotless with a fab shower. The breakfast on offer was tremendous and the staff worked continuously and efficiently to keep everything fresh and plentiful. Would definitely stay again and again

Hotel should advise that entrance to carpark is only suitale for small cars - tried to get my car in and was too wide - this isnt a large 4x4 either - wasnt willing to park some distance away so did not complete my stay - ruined holiday all for a piece of useful information

This hotel was a real find. A lovely stay and was a real lovely place to come back to at the end of a busy day out. The rooms were very well appointed modern, clean with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. If I had to be really picky I would have liked a wider range of food available for breakfast as in a selection of bread not just brown or white sliced, and freshly prepared fresh fruit. Alternatives for people who do not appreciate English Breakfast at that early time in the morning. But overall an excellent stay.

The hotel was built in 1840, so it's full of character rather than looking and feeling like a clone of so many other modern hotels. We had two rooms opposite each other; both very large, and clearly modernised and updated very recently: for instance, the double socket next to my bed had USB charging points as well as the standard 13-amp plug sockets. The beds were either king- or queen-sized (I can never remember which is which) and very comfortable. Each room had two armchairs and an occasional table, plus a large desk, a cupboard with drawers, and a fridge (a proper fridge, not a mini-bar). The bathrooms were large and well appointed, and sparkling clean. The breakfast (included in the price) was excellent; there was a choice, but we had the full English, all quite delicious, and cooked to order. The staff were friendly and very helpful. There was only one drawback (explained on the website: the car park (which is free to hotel residents) is accessed through a narrow gateway, originally designed to accommodate horses and small carriages, but quite tricky for wide cars. Ours (a Vauxhall Mokka) was fine, but the car ahead of us, considerably wider, struggled, having to reverse out and try again. (It did succeed the second time!) Overall, we hadn't expected much - it was only an overnight stay on the way to Pembroke Docks ferry to Ireland - but were agreeably surprised at the comfort and amenities of the Spilman Hotel.

The Spillman is a gem in the heart of Carmarthen. Easy walking distance to shops, eateries, and entertainment. Stayed many times, and have altered plans to ensure a room with them instead of anywhere else.

Fantastic stay. Clean well presented from walking into reception, and the room didnt disappoint. Spotless well equipped, comfortable 10/10 Staff were exceptional friendly and extremely welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Plentiful, choices of cereals,fruit, yogurts, juices, hot drinks etc . Breakfast cooked to order, and it was perfect. A great stay cannot fault anything. Will definitely return !!!

Excellent big room. Very clean and well equipped. Nice touches like a tea pot in the room for a nice cuppa. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Very quiet. Car park not for everyone - very narrow entrance.

I had a great one night stay, I was welcomed to my room parking sorted out in a secure car park and given advice on the best places to eat. The room was great, modern nice shower/bath everything spotless. I had a great night sleep on a comfortable bed. I don't eat breakfast so I couldn't say personally but it looked and smelt great. I will use this hotel again without any hesitation.

We had a wonderful stay in Carmarthen at this cute hotel in the center of town. Friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful too. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here while I was on a course locally. Staff are super-friendly and very helpful. My room was clean, bright and airy. Breakfast was delicious, best poached eggs I’ve ever had, delicious bacon too. Will definitely be back.

Why this Hotel is only rated 3 star beats me, it is far better than that. Lovely room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff and very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely rooms and breakfast

Last minute booking on a Sunday night. Room was clean and quiet. I suspect the traffic at front of hotel might be more of an issue on a week day but double glazing helps a lot. Very comfortable bed, good shower, lovely breakfast and helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Would stay again if I'm in the area.

Wonderful room with an excellent breakfast. Really narrow entrance to the car park which needs careful negotiation to access, I scraped my car the first visit as I hadn’t read their email explaining how to get in, this was my second visit & all was fine.

Friendly, helpful and informative check-in. Parked outside in an out-of-hors parking bay, but the parking behind the hotel looked nowhere near as difficult to access as some have mentioned - just take care. My room was tastefully decorated, comfortable and warm on a chilly Summer's evening. Good choice of hot drinks. Complimentary bottled water. Everything worked. I left very early to take part in a sporting event, so I missed breakfast.

Lovely hotel, room and breakfast. Only downside was entering car park. Very narrow, but instructions on how to access pre arrival really helpful. Amazing breakfast.

Third stay here and never fails to disappoint. Friendly professional staff. Rooms are very well presented, spacious and comfortable at a fantastic price and breakfast was tasty and filling. Will definitely be back!!

The staff here are the best. So friendly and helpful! We were upgraded to an apartment and it was massive. You could sleep 6! Spotless, modern and lovely. Parking was a bit of a challenge for us as US visitors but we did it :-). Highly recommend.

Stunning as usual

The hotel was well kept, clean and welcoming. The staff were lovely and breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Plenty of places nearby for evening dining out. Really enjoyed our stay.

As always a lovely stay. Exceptionally clean and peaceful for a solo traveller.
