the room was tiny, there wasn't really anywhere to store my belongings and it was expensive for the price I paid. It also wasn't very clean and the bathroom was tiny and old.

The location is perfect, really nice atmosphere of the ground floor patio. Perfectly clean, with a nice design.

There was basically no window in the room. Just a little one with not a clear glass leading to something like a servis patio. And one to thé inner corridor, which could not be open because of the noise. The inserted breakfast Is just coffee, tea and some basic cereals with milk..

Only one minus point: The door from the shared bathroom was really loud.

Location was perfect, the room was very clean and cool and the bed was really comfortable. . Staff were exceptionally helpful and interested that we were happy with our stay. They also let us know what was happening in the area and on the beaches that weekend. Lovely friendly hosts

we were able to manage, but this is a vintage building without an elevator and very steep steps , so those with mobility issues should look else elsewhere.

Hostal Africa really is a special place! :) They offer a lot of nice things - like for example yoga classes almost every morning, Reiki (Massages or Sessions), different Workshops (e.g. breathwork). The rooms are nicely decorated & the communal rooftop-terrace is just beautiful! I got to meet the owners& their kids who are just lovely people! :) For me Felicity (who works at Hostal Africa) is the heart & soul of this place. She‘s around every morning & afternoon trying to help you to get the most out of your trip. She e.g. gives daily recommendations on places to eat/drink/dance at & is there for all of your questions. I honestly don‘t think I ever felt that welcomed before at a Hotel. Thank you so much! :)

We had a great stay at hostal Afrika. It is located in the beautiful old town of tarifa surrounded by little shops and great restaurants/cafes. The roof top terrace is simply amazing, the view breathtaking. The interior of the Hostel is very colorful and well thought out. The owners of the Hostal are so welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Thanks for everything.

we just missed a communal kitchen area as we assumed there would be one (we thought it is more of a hostel place). However, for this price it is a highly recommend place

Loved my 1 week stay at Hostal Africa! The location is superb, close to all the restaurants, bars and shops of beautiful Tarifa Old Town, the staff is extraordinarily friendly and attentive, the interior is cozy, the view from the roof top terrace really nice and the room and shared bathroom really clean! Can only recommend and will be back if I am making my way back to Tarifa. Thanks!!!

The shared bathroom was really tiny and so was my room - but being a really affordable deal there is now way you can complain about that! ...and also being a old house in a lively town it can get a bit noisy from time to time - but loved the complimentary earplugs in the room!

Deco

Nice quiet place, original classic moorish deco. Although 99€ it's to much. Facilitates are very basic. Terrace minimal furniture. Very nice staff!!

Felicity, the host, was really sweet and always there to help. Great rooftop terrace. The bed and cushions were good.

The room was smaller than expected, and the only small window it has was facing the hallway, not the street. Meaning, to get some air, you had to keep the window open and sometimes heard when people were coming home. Unfortunately, they also had no communal areas (like a kitchen) except for the rooftop terrace, so not ideal if you want to meet other people. However, appearently they are planning to install a kitchen. One recommendation: please put a garbage bin in each room.
