Debbie and Denise are great hosts and the Sandpiper is very clean & comfortable. We stayed there last year and have booked to return later this year too

Upon arrival warm and friendly greeting, reception has an honesty bar with alcoholic drinks,water,soft drinks, chocolate, crisps, nibbles etc. once booked in shown to room with room facilities explained.Room very clean and tidy, en suite with toilet, sink and shower. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, sweeteners, hot chocolate and biscuits on tray all refreshed daily, daily housekeeping, Wi-Fi and TV in room. Breakfast is pre ordered with a good range of options well cooked/prepared and presented. Choice of breakfast at 08:30 or 09:00 plenty of tea and coffee available. The building is well presented we were in room six had three plain walls and a feature wall which had birds of paradise flowers in the pattern, this was picked up by two artificial bird of paradise plants placed on a wall picking up the pattern of the feature wall (shows thought gone into decoration), each room is decorated in a different style. Main staircase to bedrooms was immaculate, there was a bar on the lower level but we did not use this, car parking on site for about six vehicles. The hosts could not have been any more polite nor attentive and clearly enjoy what they are doing and have achieved. Would definitely return again

Amazing stay from start to finish. We had a family room which was a great size. On our first night we enjoyed a drink from the bar whilst we sat in the garden and the kids were entertained by Denise. 😍 Hospitality was amazing. Breakfast was great. Thank you so much for a lovely stay, we would definetly return and would highly recommend.

Recently stayed 5 nights at the Sandpiper Guest House. We really enjoyed our stay and were very pleased with the cleanliness and overall general standard of the premises. Debbie and Denise are wonderful hosts and their warmth and friendliness greatly contributed to the enjoyment of our stay. Can't wait to return!

Great hosts, excellent location. Just what we needed for a few nights away in Torquay. The family room was well thought out with the single beds in the alcoves. Some areas are a little tired but the homeliness over came this. Russ and Helen were very attentive. Breakfast was lovely and great choice. All in all a great stay.

A lovely stay from welcome by the owners to the comfortable rooms, the amazing breakfast and beautiful décor. A brilliant find and will definitely stay there again

We had a family room on the top floor and it was wonderful. We have two children and they had their own beds on each side of the room which they loved because the beds were in hidden areas of the room which meant they could have their own space. Shower and toilet room was bright and beautiful and very up to date. Torquay is a really lovely place the guest house is only 10 min walk to the bay and next time I visit I will definitely come back to stay there. The family are lovely and made us feel very welcome. What a lovely place to end the day! The food is great and they even have their own bar downstairs. Big thanks from all of us, we really enjoyed our stay

The Sandpiper is in a great location for easy access to Torquay. The rooms are spotless and very well equipped. Beds very comfy and ample hot water. Breakfast cater for all tastes and nothing is too much trouble for your friendly hosts. Would pick this hotel again if returning to Torquay.

the rooms were very small, food was very basic and the staff were very rude and never smiled , we was based up in basement not kind of room i would pay the price i did not very appealing wall paper coming off i would not class it 4 star at all

This is a small family run Guest House which is a real jewel. The family are very welcoming and couldn't do more to make our stay enjoyable. The accomodation was well appointed and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was outstanding. It deserves it's reviews on Trip advisor, book here with confidence, you will not be disappointed.

Breakfast was so delicious.room was relatively small and the bathroom was outside, but the politeness of the owners and top breakfast compensated it own. 10 minute walk from the beach.

Room was very spacious, en-suite bathroom a little small. Good location as only a 15mins walk from Torre station and a 15-20 mins walk to the Town centre. Hotel owners will give you a lift if you call while at the station, though we didn't know about this until we actually got there. Breakfast was nicely cooked, with a good choice of cereals, yoghurts and juices. Room was supplied with tea/coffee making equipments and water which was replenished daily.

A well run family business offering a comfortable and cosy environment. We were greeted on arrival by the Proprietor Helen Whitmore in a friendly and relaxed manner. There was a small cellar bar for guests and a cosy sitting room and dining room. We enjoyed a very good breakfast and although our stay was only for 1 night we would be very happy to stay here again for a longer period. There is a 15 minute walk into Torquay town and harbour area but walked this quite comfortably but this might be a problem for those who may be less agile.
