Such a beautiful and rustic hotel set right in the center of down town Tapalpa.. The bed was soooo comfortable too. Will definitely book this hotel again.

I am all about water conservation, but it was difficult to wash my long hair with such low water pressure.

Best location right on the square and near restaurants and sights

We loved the location, the fireplace, and the cleanliness of the facility and room.
Although we had changed our reservation through you, paying more to have an upstairs facility, when we arrived they had us booked into one on the lower floor. After explaining that we paid more for the upstairs, they showed us two upstairs options, one which was very good. Still, we had noise the second night from a very loud neighbor.
Did not like that the parking is public on the main square and is "hit or miss". Nothing designated for the facility.
Also, they had two different handles to the shower and one was broken.

The atmosphere is fabulous and the hotel is so beautiful. Muy bello lugar, armónico y relajante.

La Casa de Maty feels like an antique hacienda, with lovely updated bathrooms. The decor and details make it very comfy. Though it is on the main square, the courtyards are removed from street noise, and are very quiet.

An oasis of old charm right in the middle of the old square. Clean, log fire. Tv did not work and they could not get it going; no problem, listened to the silent night instead. Super clean air. Woke up very refreshed!!! Would have appreciated some coffee early morning even if just at reception FL desk to collect. No breakfast. Only place open before 9:30 is one place around the corner; ask them at reception__called Alfredo I think. Was ok. Made omelets and hot cocoa.

No breakfast because they didn’t open till 9:00am
The hotel was difficult to locate. Small sign under a restaurant. Secure parking was located far from the hotel and difficult to get to.
Very few restaurants and shopping opportunities.
We walked on every street and we’re not impressed with our experience.
Definitely wouldn’t return.
