Smart, modern but still homely. The house fitted beautifully into the eclectic mix that is Menai Bridge. Watching the everchanging tide from the balcony or lounge is just mesmerising. My husband said " its the best view we've ever had on any holiday. Beds comfortable, house warm, full of equipment. Anne and Gerald so helpful with instructions and answered questions. You can have peace here and nature or find shops and restaurants, Perfect stay and memories made for us all. Thank you.

We were meeting up with London friends who have a place in Bangor..They had other friends stay at Milverton last year...loved it.. So...we were the beneficiaries of their experience and recommendation...We found the cottage clean and comfortable ... The water side view is nothing short of spectacular and the cottage is within walking distance of the village and market...The lodging was great for my wife and I. I think it would feel pretty tight for six or even four adults.

Milverton was a great base for our family holiday in Wales. The house was clean, warm and had everything we needed. The view from the rooms and outside area were just amazing, day and night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The best thing about Milverton is the ever changing view of the Menai Bridge which can be seen from all rooms except the two single bedrooms. The kitchen is modern and very well equipped with appliances, crockery and utensils. The property has a very cosy feel and is a perfect place to relax after a day of adventure or hiking, or if the weather is inclement. Or just sitting outside enjoying the view with your morning coffee. We are a family of four with children aged 10 and 13 and the property was perfect for us. There is a Waitrose supermarket a convenient 5 mins walk away and a great restaurant, Dylan’s, also a short walk. The street outside is very narrow but you can park there for unloading or longer if there is space, else it’s 2 mins walk to the reserved spaces. Due to the parking and steps down to the property we wouldn’t recommend for a family with pushchairs or wheelchair users but it was no problem for us. We had a really great week in Wales at Milverton and would definitely stay again.

This is a delightful property with incredible views of the bridge and straits, within walking distance of some nice restaurants and pubs. The property was exactly as described, spotless and felt really homely. The communication with Anne was first class and everything was described in great detail. We even had the opportunity to check in early, which was great as we did arrive a little earlier than expected.

Being right on the Menai Strait was lovely - as was the walking path right in front of the home. It was delightful to watch the water move with the tides! It was peaceful and relaxing. The location was wonderful as well for exploring the town. The home is a bit smaller than it appeared to me in the photos. Wonderful for two, a little cozy for four to gather in the living space - though plenty of room at the dining table. Six guests would be pushing it but not if you spent the majority of your time outside and exploring. (It might be a good idea to replace the smaller mattresses.) The island itself is beautiful with many wonderful places to explore - especially for me being quite interested in history. Anne was a wonderful host and very easy to work with and communicate with.

We had a lovely break..the location is fantastic and so is the view. We will be back!
