Tranquil setting in the mountains of SW Virginia was exactly what this family needed to unwind from the daily grind. Pleasantly surprised with the amenities and the view of Smith Mountain Lake. Would definitely do again.

The house and property are beautiful. I was wary about dealing with a big company instead of the homeowner, because you can’t get simple questions answered like where to eat or rent a boat (luckily I researched all that ahead) but when we had an issue with the garbage, and I really thought we weren’t going to be assisted, but the garbage was indeed picked up the next morning, as per stated by the representative when I called. The house had a few minor issues, like a broken kitchen chair that was outside by the garbage when we arrived leaving us short a chair and all the 5 garbage bins provided being over full from Previous renters. Also, for a house that size, to only be given 2 dish towels, limited garbage bags, limited toilet paper, seems a little ridiculous. We had to buy countertop cleaner, garbage bags and toilet paper. There should be some more cleaning supplies so we can assist with keeping the kitchen clean. Also, a paddle board with no paddle! All in all SML was a great choice and i would recommend this house.

The house was immaculate and perfect for our group. The views from multiple rooms in the house was amazing. The outside area had lots of seating to enjoy the views! We have stayed at other SML properties and this was by far the easiest one to get to the lake level. There were some steps but not too steep. Would definitely stay her again!

The home was very convenient for a large family. Really enjoyed the many games downstairs in the game room with games for all ages to enjoy. The layout of the house allowed plenty of space for family to congregate in the main areas or to allow for plenty of privacy in w bedrooms or outside on the balconies or even upstairs in the loft area. Very clean when we arrived. The only minor issue was no cable in the twin bedroom of which they were quick to send maintenance out with an antenna to be able to pick up local stations. But overall it was the perfect peaceful stay I needed after losing my husband to cancer. Could feel him smiling through the windows with the gorgeous sunrise views. Speaking of views….BEAUTIFUL!

The space is perfect for couple trip w/or w/o children. Ample space in the home AND activities -- you will not need to leave the house. It is definitely a cozy stay! **NOTE TO FUTURE RENTS** This place is breathtakingly beautiful.. treat it as such.. as your own! Not just the house but the surround land as well.. the beauty of this place should not be mistreated or taken for granted!!

The location, house, yard, and dock are absolutely perfect. The rental staff was so friendly and easy to work with. Can’t wait to come back.

Great property with excellent location. We had a great time! Cleaning team needs to be re-trained, but overall the property suited us all very well.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The views were gorgeous and the teenagers loved the dock and fishing opportunities! We enjoyed wonderful conversations around the gorgeous, large island with our family where we laughed until we cried. We were even able to complete 2 large puzzles at one end of the island! We loved all of the bedrooms and the game room was a big hit for foosball, ping pong and air hockey. We all enjoyed our time together in this home!!

The property was great. It had a perfect floor plan for the number of people we had there. We had 8 adults and 4 children. Access to the lake was amazing.. Sat by the water, and took the kids out on the Canoe. Immaculate house in a great location.

This was an amazing house and it was so spacious. The view of the lake was amazing. Whole process from rental to check out was seamless.

Amazing. Property was clean and inviting. The view and dock a big plus. Family enjoyed the water activities (canoe and paddle board) during the day and the game room and games in the evening. Only comment from Grandma was the need for an additional table elsewhere in the house for cards, puzzles, crafts and games. Having just the dining room table and kitchen island made dining times a challenge. We will definitely be back!

Good stay

Beautiful home, high end with TVs in each room, gorgeous kitchen and open living space, huge game room which would have made entertainment on rainy days easy. The outside is also extremely well done with a fire pit, easy access to an AMAZING dock with bar area, outdoor table, boats, etc. We had 7 adults and 2 kids, everybody had a comfortable space. Thank you for a memorable trip!

Great time visiting with kids, grandkids, and other family members after a year of Covid. Lots of entertainment for grandkids and adults.

We loved staying at the Cabin on the Cove. The layout of the house worked great for our group. We all had our own spaces. The kids loved the game room. The dock was a nice hang out spot as the weather was wonderful. We ate lunch on the dock every day and took the canoe, kayak and paddle boards out. Lots of entertainment options.

The house and the layout were great for our family, but the house was not thoroughly cleaned. Many details were overlooked by the cleaning staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The location and view are amazing!! The fire pit and the dock were so enjoyable. There is room for everyone to spread out. Also, so many personal touches that really make you feel welcome and at home. The only complaint that I have is that it could have been cleaner. The laundry room was a mess and the upstairs sofas are heavily stained.
