Staff at bar friendly, stunning location, room ok

There was no hot water when we got there could not even have a shower or wash as no hot water had to use cold water, when we got there after a long drive, spoke with them next day they told me the biler light had gone out so they dorted it we went back to our room for a shower, my wife went first and just as she was finishing it went cold again hand to wash shampoo out in cold water told them again they said they will sort it it was cold rest of our stay so had to boil kettel and just do a quick flannel wash thats all i had all stay absolutly discusting i was freezing all stay

It was really nice and felt homely. My partner and I love Amroth and it made the holiday even better. The castle site is beautiful so is the house and it’s 100% made us want to buy a caravan there. The views of the sea were beautiful to wake up to everyday , love this place.

Having to close the door and come home , would love to stay in Amroth forever.

Quiet location close to amenities

The bedroom could have been cleaner. There was substantial dust and cobwebs on the lower parts of bedside tables. Cobwebs at higher levels everywhere. The whole apartment smelt damp and dusty and it was not possible to open the bedroom window. There was mold on the bedroom window reveals. The property lacked a lot of the essentials taken for granted elsewhere. I.e. washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and soap in the bathroom. There wasn’t any room cleaning service either.

Love Amroth. Love the setting.

The units have lovely views. The unit was lovely at first sight, but the beds were aweful. The double bed in the main room was old . Mattress springs collapsed. After one night in the bed my husband and I tried sleeping on different matresses. There were 4 single matresses of which only two were alright. Which left my husband and I sleeping in two single beds in different rooms for the rest of our stay. The tv in the main room did not work at all. The weather was so cold so one night we tried to put the lovely heater on in the lounge that didn’t work either! Nor did the central/gas heating worked. That was ruddy aweful! If everything was like the kitchen it would have been grand! The maintenance is not good either simple things like the front door not being able to slide properly and therefore difficult to open and close. The same with the windows. Both times we stayed at Amroth the same complaint with the tv in the main room and the door not locking easily. I chose not to complain the 1st time as I thought it was a one off due to the unit. But alas not the case. The office staff confirmed that they pass on the complaints from the customer to their head office, but fall on deaf ears! I gather that because the same complaints have been repeatedly reported. It is the managing company that is at fault. It is for this reason we have chosen not to return to Amroth Castle Holiday Park for a while to see if the Managing Agent or head office will address the issues or not! It won’t take much to get things sorted. Which would then make Amroth Castle Holiday Park a great place to spend a whole week at! Lastly I would commend the reception staff. The ladies are super and I take my hat off to them as they are the ones on the coal face of unhappy customers. If not irate ones!

Very please would definitely return lovely and clean cottage was perfect room much bigger than expected and views were fab. Lovely play area and pub. Lovely to just walk a little and your right in the front by the sea Lovely hoilday had by us all

The fan in the down stairs shower room didn't work it wasn't that it matters just the room got steamed up quick.

Dishwasher

Weird shower located next to the kitchen, unable to direct the shower head which resulted in water in the kitchen - shower screen not effective. Tv unwatchable most of the time - not responding to the remote & had to retune every time it switched itself off for no reason even though it was on standby as per instructions . Hardly any room at the end of the bed to comfortably access toilet in bedroom downstairs . Steps between rooms were a concern- living room to kitchen a definite trip hazard

Basic but clean and tidy and excellent value for money

Fantastic accommodation, well equipped apartment perfectly situated. Staff were very helpful with any requests that I had. Good choice for a relaxing weekend away.
