We loved being on the canal and the peacefulness if it. Overall the house was clean and slept several people. The kitchen lacked many extras especially if you plan on cooking. Only the essentials were there. There were no hand towels,wash cloths or dish towels. We felt like it is the process of being updated. The decor was a mix of new and furniture and old fixtures. The morning we left something backed up with one of the toilets and caused the showers to and bathtubs to back up with sand and slimy stuff from the drain. I wouldn’t say not to stay there, especially if it is just for a couple of days and you don’t plan on cooking all your meals. With a little more attention to details and some fixture upgrades it will be a great place.

I chose that title, as we saw a Tina Turner Revue at the Dania Casino while we were in town. The house itself is nice on first impressions. However, as one looks around more, it seems as if it’s an unfinished project, or non-professionally done. Major gripes ? The bathroom door in the “master bedroom” is hard to close / open, and leaves a gap when supposedly closed. The framing around the doorway, especially at floor level, looked very poorly planned, and even as if it had been quite wet at some point. No electric outlets in the master bath. Very few electric outlets throughout the house. The kitchen had hardware on some drawers and cabinets, but not on others. We were not left with any laundry soap, no hand towels for the bathrooms. The TV system was not very operator friendly. On the bright side, the neighborhood was easy access, and seemed good enough, though some houses looked a bit run down. It was our understanding from a friend that the neighborhood is going through renovations. The pool looked very inviting, though a bit too cool for us to get in while there. We loved being right on the river, and did see several kayaks float by. The temperature was easy to control in the house, and we had no problems with hot water. It is sparsely decorated, and not everything you see in the pictures, is in the house. It has the “bones” to be a good house with some more work and TLC. It’s livable now, and not unbearable, just not the best property we have stayed in.

Our families enjoyed our time here. Guests will appreciate that this property is getting updated all the time. Very clean. Great location. We wished there were more cooking utensils and containers but I’m sure there will be soon. Beautiful yard. My bed in the Master suite was incredibly comfortable. We would stay again. Can’t beat the price - we had nine adults stay at the property!
