We were in town for a week leading up to my son getting married and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! The owners were super friendly and even flexible as we were checking out in the middle of a tropical storm and tornado warnings 😀
The home is fully equipped with everything you can think of needing. We will definitely stay again on future trips.

We really enjoyed our stay at Southern Exposure. Jan and Arden were WONDERFUL hosts making sure we had all we needed. They were helpful and immediately responsive when we reached out. The pool was relaxing and the floor plan was perfect for 2 families to have room and enjoy!

We found the Gem of all Gems here in Auburndale, FL. We attended a family wedding in Bartow Florida and we just didn't find what we were looking for in the VRBO homes. We expanded our search and found the Auburndale just a short 33 minute drive away from the venue. This house is amazing with 4 bedrooms perfectly situated for our family. Two King Size beds and two rooms with Single Size beds, 2 per room. Traveling from Colorado, we were not ready for the hot days mixed with the Humidity. The pool was perfect for us to cool off after a long day. The Auburndale was perfectly located for our wedding rehearsal dinner in Winter Haven, again a short commute under 30 minutes. When we travel back to visit family, we will be staying at this lovely place in Auburndale Florida.

We stayed at Southern Exposure to visit with our daughter and grandchildren who live nearby. From start to finish our experience was phenomenal. Probably the best experience we've ever had renting from VRBO. The house was immaculate and well stocked with everything you could need. The views are breathtaking and the pool is gorgeous. The outdoor patio is not only screened in but a large section of it is covered as well for some much needed shade. Jan and Arden are incredible hosts and super considerate of all of your needs. They even called me before my trip to let me know 4th of July is loud there, they knew I was traveling with young children and wanted to give me the heads up in case any of my children were sensitive to noise. I can not recommend this rental enough. You will not regret it if you book this beautiful property!

Large home with plenty of room. The home was clean and the location was perfect. Would have been nice to have access to the beautiful lake, but there is no dock or access from this house. However, the owners live next door and the kids were able to fish from their dock. A propane grill would be a nice addition, but kitchen was well stocked. The amenities in the bathrooms (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion) were appreciated and were a nice touch. Couches and beds were very comfortable.

We had to book this house last minute as our precious rental cancelled at the last minute. It is on a lovely lake with many birds - it can be loud!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our group. The pool area overlooking the lake was a great place to hang out. We were able to catch some beautiful sunsets. The house is large and spread out and we never felt cramped with 4 adults. Communication with hosts was excellent, responsive, and accommodating. Highly recommend and we’d definitely book again in the future!

To those reading this review, first thing to note is that the property was as advertised. However what really impressed was the comfort factor. I’m not just referring to the scenic calm of the lake or the quiet neighborhood but just about every other aspect. The beds, bedding, towels, furniture, ease of appliances and supplied cookware are just some of the comforts that made our stay much nicer than any hotel or even staying with family. The response of the host also puts you at ease that any issue will be addressed quickly and effectively. I would certainly repeat renting this listing the next time I’m in the area.

Had a wonderful stay with my brothers and sisters for a family event. Nice set-up for the house for everyone to gather and enjoy the pool and beautiful view. Enjoyed our morning walks in the neighborhood and met some very friendly neighbors.

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect and the hosts were helpful and responsive. The birds and wildlife around the lake were an added bonus. We didn’t explore much around town…too hot to be out and about especially when the pool was the perfect place to be.

The house was very spacious with plenty of room for all 6 adults and 1 child. The lake was beautiful and serene, we loved sitting in the screened porch watching the birds and the sunset. We would recommend this house if you are coming to the area.

We went down for a baseball tournament, and could not have made a better choice than Southern Exposure. Jan and Arden are exceptional, communication was wonderful. The house is beautiful. Clean, stocked, and exactly what we needed. Literally minutes from the fields, we could drive home between games and take a dip in the private pool. The view of the lake, and the sound of the birds, made the stay so surreal. We will definitely come back for next year’s tournament. I highly highly recommend anyone looking for a place in the Auburndale area to stay here. Thank you Jan and Arden for letting us share your wonderful home.!!

The pictures don't do it justice. Truly a beautiful property and home.....pool was great! We were there for a baseball tournament and the location and proximity to fields, Orlando and Tamp was perfect. Jan and Arden are amazing hosts and ensured our stay was everything we expected. We look forward to renting from them again when we are back next. You won't go wrong with this property!

My husband and I stayed in this part of Florida for the first time to watch my son play baseball. Location was perfect for us in close proximity of ball parks. Added bonus was this beautiful home and property. We wanted for nothing. The house was fully stocked with essentials and so well maintained. We will be back if ever in the the area.

Loved this home - spotless and comfortable with a large pool and beautiful lakeside setting. Everything we needed - comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen and a nice, quiet location, too. Good variety of restaurants in the area and not too far from Disney, etc. Enjoyed staying here and highly recommend it!

We had four adults and four children under 13. The house had plenty of room, and the setting on the lake was very nice. The kids loved the pool and swam for hours. We would definitely stay here again.

The house was super clean, the pool was clean and warm and inviting, the view on the edge of the lake is so peaceful and beautiful. Would definitely recommend staying with Jan & Arden at this wonderful house. A lot of attention and good communication.

I chose this home because of the space and the pool. When entering the home I was impressed by the cleanliness, the layout and the decor. The more I explored the better the house became, the master bed and bath are Huge, the second largest bedroom has a large, clean and comfortable king size bed, the two children's rooms are large and accommodating. I was pleasantly suprised that the pool was actually deep at the deep end, and perfectly sized for a nice swim. There are mini alarms on all doors leading out to the pool which is a safety plus if you have young children with you. Neighborhood is clean and quiet and close enough to get to department stores without having to drive to far. All I all it exceeded in every aspect of what a rental home should be. I Won't be staying anywhere else but here next time we are in Florida!
