Such a DARLING little cabin! I loved the theme and we could really tell that a lot of thought and effort was made to make it modern. I loved the decor, it was so cute! It certainly elevated the experience of staying there, because it felt more like a nice hotel than an air bn’b. I also loved the hot tub and large yard; it was nice to be able to have a space for my dogs to play and be kept safe while we were out doing things like OMSI and the zoo. It was especially wonderful that the owner of the home provided a pantry full of breakfast items, quick soups, snacks and sodas. We didn’t eat much of it, but the thoughtfulness was sweet and appreciated - she even had a little sign in the pantry that said “please take one!” It made my whole family feel welcome! The cupboards were also full of sensible items like spices, sugar and olive oil which made cooking so nice, because we didn’t have to go out and buy a certain spice for one meal.
The owners provided a little three ring binder that included the WiFi password, and local sites to visit as well as neighborhood amenities.
I just wish I could thank the owners personally for all of their efforts to make their cabin nice. I wanted to thank the decorator for making such an effort to make the home cute and decorated; I loved the little amenities that really elevated the whole experience. Thank you!

This house was amazing! Located in the woods there were some spider webs on the outside of the house, which alarmed my kids for about 5 seconds. Then, as soon as the door opened they were in love immediately. My wife and kids said we should buy and use the house for our summer cabin. They loved the decorations, amenities, and small extra things the homeowner added: little cereal packages, granola bars, and sodas in the pantry. We loved this property!

The pictures make this house look bright inside. It is not. Lighting is not good at all. On the surface, the house looks clean, but open a cabinet or drawer and all you find is filth. We had to wash anything that we took out of a kitchen cabinet or drawer. The oven racks look as if someone cooked meat right on the racks, no pan. Because of that, the house smelled like a burning meat whenever we used the oven. THREE GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE KITCHEN: the coffee maker is new and updated. Works very well. The refrigerator serves water and ice from the door. The dishwasher is top notch.
The couch is awful! Not comfortable AT ALL. The green chair in the living room is broken. The kitchen table needs replaced. The house does not heat evenly.
Beds were okay. The faucet in the master bath can barely be turned on or it sprays all over!
The neighborhood is quiet. Plenty of parking.
We did not use the shower/tub. All of the towels were "non absorbent" as if they had been washed with softner. We washed the kitchen towels and the grimy pot holders the first day to make sure that they were clean.
We were extremely disappointed.

We had a wonderful cozy mountain stay at the Fox Den and it was the perfect place to celebrate my son turning 18. Perfect proximity to skiing, snowshoeing, and inner tubing and then back to the cabin to prepare a warm meal a soak in the relaxing hot tub. The rooms had wonderful simple decor and the beds were comfortable. We made wonderful memories there.

We loved the Fox Den. The home was very spacious and the big, fully fenced yard was great for our dogs. The house was clean and updated and had pretty much everything we need. I’m not knocking stars off because this is based on preference, but the furniture is very hard. Especially the mattresses. Unfortunately we did not get a lot of sleep because it was so uncomfortable, but we are used to a soft mattress. Just something to keep in mind. Other than that we had a lot of fun!

The home was in a nice location. We had a few issues upon arrival which really bumped into our evening plans. Pipes had bursted before we arrived which caused a lot of flooding in the garage. Vacasa was great at getting someone out to help with issue, but issue really interfered with our evening. Also, bedding was not fresh and had animal hair inside beds. The floors were not clean and had dirt, animal hair, food crumbs throughout. Some dusting would be really nice as well as some lights need fresh bulbs. Listing states it is dog friendly, but home should still be cleaned properly for those who do not have dogs when staying. I probably wouldn’t stay here again if offered.
Some item updates for kitchen that would be helpful is scissors, plastic baggies, and foil. Most items in kitchen were helpful. Master shower does not work well and might need a new shower head.

Cute, and cozy… could use some dusting, and more glasses. Neighbors definitely made us feel not welcome.

We loved this little haven. Many little touches that were noticed and appreciated. Thankfully we didn't forget any toiletries, but if we had there were travel soaps and shampoos and things to save a trip to the store. The location is great in a quiet quaint neighborhood close to all sorts of fun things to do. We went mountain biking and we hiked. The kitchen is well equipped, the only thing I would suggest is adding more hand dish towels. I think there was just one. The bath towels were soft and quality, and there were Vacasa towels for the hot tub. The Hot Tub is such a night touch and is clean and works great, it's pretty tough getting the lid on and off without two people the way it is situated, but it was fine. The beds are nice and firm, and there are plenty of cozy blankets around to snuggle with.
There was a wood dining chair that needed some glue, the back came right off it when pulling it out from the table, a little glue and that will be good as new. There were plenty of other chairs, we just set that one aside.
We loved the themed fox pictures throughout and enjoyed leaving a fun entry in the guest book.
Thank you for letting us use your cabin. We'll be back!

Beautiful area nice home

Lovely house with lots of recent remodeling. The hot tub was great, but requires two able-bodied adults to move the cover off and on. Easy walking access to the river. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. I'm not sure if it's mentioned in the listing, but they included access to a community pool which would have been fun if the weather was warmer. The kitchen isn't terribly-well stocked - no toaster, no kitchen towels, no mixing bowls, box grater, dish drain, stuff like that. So if you plan to cook, bring whatever you may need. The appliances they did provide (oven, microwave, etc) were all in good working order.

Main issue was the yard had not been mowed or taken care of for a while. Grass and weeds were over 2 feet tall. Also, there was a massive hole in the fence where you pup of any size can get out. Basically the yard is not useable past the hot tub.
Arrived and the cleaners were still there. Couldn't into the home until 2.5 hours after check in at with no contact or information on the delay or when it would be ready from property management.
House itself is cute and comfortable. But the yard issue was a bummer when you are looking to use it for yourself or let the pups run around. Also, communication was disappointing and not helpful.

I recently stayed at the Fox Den for a weekend getaway around the holiday, and I was blown away by how amazing it was. The home itself is very nice with a mix of cabin/modern/fox themed decor and has all the amenities you could need. There was a selection of snacks provided by the hosts that were nice grab and go options for a quick breakfast. The hot tub was a highlight for me, and it was the perfect way to relax after a day of skiing. It was also nice having a place to let my dog run around in the back yard which can be hard to find in the ski area.
The location of the home is also great, as it is very close to the Sandy River trail and all the ski resorts at Mt Hood. My family and I visited Summit and Skibowl during the trip.
Overall, the Fox Den was an amazing place to stay for the trip, and I would give it a solid 5 stars. I would say it is a perfect location for a group of friends or a family looking to have a fun and relaxing vacation. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit Mt Hood.
