Enjoyed our trip and stay. Loves how quite it was but so close to downtown. Have another stay already planned.

Overall the trip was great but the property condition needs improvement. The dishes in the cabinets had food still on them. That wasn't a huge deal because I just washed them again. The master bathroom toilet seat was broken and I almost fell off the commode several times. The boards leading to the office are super slippery. The location of the property is ideal, with a very short walk to all the shops and food. The pool was good.

While dated and run down, the resort is still pretty good! Two potential issues: 1) It was raining today and the patio coming into the door of the condo is SLICK as owl crap with the algae that’s growing there. The walkway from the door to the stairs is NOT covered and you will get soaked while exiting. 2) There’s a VERY weak spot in the floor in the den area. As with most mountain cabins, the winding road up is precariously narrow. Otherwise we’re happy! The pool area and river access is great, but be warned the current right at the resort is STRONG. The room is very dated, but homey. Daughter enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. There are a few small maintenance repairs that should probably be done. The decor could be better. But it’s quiet, safe, and affordable. DON’T MISS THE WALKING TRAIL CUT THROUGH TO TOWN!!! Super convenient.

I enjoyed the peace & quiet surroundings. I was disappointed in the non-disclosure of the steep uphill drive to actual accommodations.

It a ok place to stay.. close to Helen . The apt was ok.. a little dirty but no bad. We had a good time ..

Pool and hot tub were not working so it was inaccessible to guests.

The place is hidden away from the main stretch, yet within walking distance of downtown Helen. We would park by the clubhouse and just walk the trail to Main St. The property is dated, but provides plenty of amenities. You get to see some wildlife. The pool and hot tub are great, excellent for cooling off after a hot day doing touristy stuff. The clubhouse has a pool table and a couple tables for games. The property has several grills and picnic tables. Our room had a hair dryer, washer&dryer and a fully equipped kitchen. Rosie at the frontdesk was very helpful and so pleasant! We are looking forward to return.

Easy check in/out. Quiet and was great for our 3 night getaway. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us.

On the side of a hill. Steep driveway both up and down. Not for the faint of heart. Truck a must.

Could use update on the buildings but overall nice

The property is nice and quite but the sheets were dirty and the room had a terrible smell. We had to go out and buy a candle. Besides that we enjoyed our stay.

No front desk communication whatsoever.

Needs updating and better standards

Before we came up, we called and asked if the amenities like the indoor pool and spa were functioning and was told they were. We arrived on a Saturday to a broken handicap ramp and a closed office and directions to the box with our room key and instructions that if we have more than one vehicle we had to call and register the car with the office and park in a certain spot. We never heard from anyone but luckily our second vehicle didn’t get towed. Everything was very outdated and the bathtub jets did not work. We went to the indoor pool where that ramp was closed off/rotted away too. The “heated” indoor pool was like cold bath water. The jacuzzi was out of order. We went to the game room and everything there was out of order and broken. We reached out to management several times and never heard back. We called Expedia to ask for help and was told the office staff flat out refuse to make this right. Their answer was that we didn’t call - but we left a voicemail the first night and then Monday (when we checked out) was Christmas Day and no one was working. I absolutely would never stay here again.

Location is perfect! The room we had was alittle outdated but didnt hinder anything! Price was very reasonable too! We would definitely rent again.

Old very old

Subpar. Outdated. The view was lovely but the property was so outdated and uncomfortable. The bathtub was a large selling point for us and it did not work. Water heater couldn’t even handle an individual shower. There was no water pressure and the shower heads were disgusting and clogged. Itchy old blankets. When I tried to contact the property they had already closed and never returned contact. The view was nice, far from the city life. Was just average to subpar. Nothing outstanding. Won’t stay there again. Don’t recommend for comfort.

No wifi or any internet / phone service was terrible. Was not informed the driveway was so steep and hair pin turns going up and a very narrow one-way down. Asked to clean everything before check out or would be charged extra. Booked 2 days, left after the first night.

It was a good experience. Location was great. Units are a bit dated, could use some updating but they were clean.

The pool was closed for maintenance but appeared to be fine. You must empty your own garbage, strip the bedding, and collect all the towels for the staff before you leave. You could not walk downtown quickly, so you still had to pay for parking downtown. There is no handicapped accessible entrance to the "clubhouse" or the office. There is only parking for one car unless you are willing to let the end of one vehicle stick which we were. The whirlpool tub was old, had rust, and an unknown hole that looked like a jet had broken out previously. Insulation was falling out of the roof in the parking area.

Wow, where to start? The location was pretty good, but one toilet didn't flush, a sink didn't drain, the mattresses were lumpy, and everything looked pretty old and dated. The road, though. Holy smokes, that was scary! A narrow, windy, one lane road went up to the rooms and was terrifying. We really thought our lives were in danger. The sliding doors did not look and all the blinds were broken so light came in all night. The doors definitely didn't feel safely locked, so I was glad I brought additional safety gear. It was inexpensive, which is good, but I have never had to gather my own trash and take it to the dumpster. So yeah.

As I totally enjoyed being in Helen, GA and Alpine Creat was so quaint, I think it could use a little sprucing up. Tons of spider webs with huge sliders outside the windows on the deck. The doors to the deck didn’t lock at all, which left me feeling somewhat unsafe. Overall I would totally recommend this place not hope the owners take a little more care with the property.

Pretty great place for the money. Got a good view and plenty of family space. I loved the woods and nature right at the back of our property. Was some spiders hanging around but lady at the front desk was very very clear concise and gave good instructions. Also have good recommendations!! Thanks guys

Resort is run down and dated. Needs better up keep. Water stains on ceiling. Smells old and musty.

The location is perfect to walk into the city, or if you want a quiet place in a wooded area. Our place was clean, though was so dated it still had a broken/ dirty look to it. The pool, waterside, club house and fishing area were all closed while we were there. The staff was very helpful in answering questions we had when we arrived. We did arrive on a weekend so the main staff wasn't there, but housekeeping was. If your vehicle doesn't do hills well, or if you struggle backing up/ drop off edges this is not the place for you. We would stay here again for the price and location, but it is not a place for everyone.

Was okay.

While the room was clean and the location was decent, the room was very very dated, with extremely small box tv’s. Also the twin beds rocked like cradles, the sofa was infested with something because my first night there I was bitten on my leg. Our last night there, my friend was bitten multiple times on her legs and arms.

I like where the property was, I didn't like the internet service, the outside was dirty. The area was very close to the town. I had a great time.

Overall we did not hate our stay at this location. Pros: * Price was reasonable * Great location in Helen * Beds were comfortable * Outdated but clean Cons: * No customer service (called multiple times during office hours, no answer), no response via messages, and no one available on the property after arrival except one security officer. * Amenities were not as advertised - no pool, the playground was overgrown with grass and weeds, and the trail to downtown Helen was also overgrown. The whole reason for the trip was for a pool for our kids. (this was a MAJOR con)

Was very outdated the pool was green and nasty. The slides hadn’t worked in years. Had to watch where you walk on certain areas was not worth the money. The Wi-Fi didn’t work the TVs were outdated.

I can’t believe this is referred to as a resort. When you go into the ‘Clubhouse’ the pool table felt is ripped in a few places and there aren’t enough balls to play an actual game. The handicap ramp is jagged, rickety and totally unsafe. The pool is just old. Forget about the so called water park as the slides are not operational. There’s literally nothing to do at this tired ‘resort’. As you travel up the winding, steep road deciding if you should be praying for your safety or that the condo is in better shape, or both…. You’re met with these parking spaces that have active and inactive mud dauber nests in them. Once you climb the 2 flights of stairs, you walk into a run down unit with old furniture, outdated bathrooms with disgusting stuff in the vents that are disgusting and ceilings with mold on them. The jacuzzi doesn’t stay full and the water doesn’t stay hot either. The deck is also black with mold and rickety. This was the BIGGEST disappointment as we were celebrating my birthday and were looking forward to a nice, comfortable stay - especially for what we paid for this unit. Almost $800 and literally NOTHING to do and a dump of a unit. You can rent a stunning cabin for this $.
