Exactly as described, the neighbors were loud or the close proximity of the cabins to each other made it seem that way.

Excellent! Every staff member was great! Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful! The houseboat was cute and roomy - loved sitting on the deck and watching the harbor happenings. Lots of "Florida Friends" - from jelly fish and iquanas to manatees and sharks!

No frills - Nice little aqua lodge.

Fun experience. Houseboat had limited amenities - I would not recommend for large groups. As and example - Although it was advertised as a max if 6 people, there were only three forks. No hairdryer.
Loved being on the lagoon. There are not two bedrooms - one bedroom
And one very low ceiling loft.

Ready to get into Key West
Where to park was confusing at first

It was something different so I thought I would give it a try. It wasn’t horrible but I definitely would not stay again. Dusty, uncomfortable bedding and pillows, water pressure in the shower was worse than the faucets, very small body towels, had glass plates and cups but no place to dry or a towel to dry them. It’s a similar experience to camping.

This was such a great spot! Convenient for anyone who wants boating / water activities and no parking issues like downtown. The restaurant was excellent as well! A must do while in Key West!

We received info on how to check in via self-service. Very easy to check in and get our key to the lodge. Lodge itself was clean and adorable. We loved sitting on the deck watching the water and the floating tikis. Would go back for sure

All rooms were full of flies and bugs. Could not spend the night. I received too many bug bites.

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful.

It’s an experience, it’s not a luxury stay. It’s sort of like staying in a camper with a septic holding tank that can get pretty smelly next to a working marina, with fish charters and a fish cleaning station. One morning we had to use a spare paddle to shoe away a stinky dead fish head so it wouldn’t get trapped under our unit and smell up the place. Staying on the water was unique but in mid May it would have been nice for more shade on the little deck. I’d save it for the slightly cooler months. Otherwise, inside had about all we needed with a stocked kitchen. Queen bed was comfortable. Shower temp could not really be controlled, would have liked cooler water since we got a little sunburned. Restaurant and bar was pretty good, kayaking and bike rentals were convenient.

Aqualodges was a unique, great experience. Really enjoyed the marine life right at our dock. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Cant wait to come back!

There was absolutely no water pressure for showering. Pretty much had to splash the water onto yourself as it just ran down the wall from the spout. German cockroaches were in the kitchenette area

Great houseboat accommodation. Some road noise. A little out of town but the bar/restaurant next door was good

Such a great experience. My 10 year old loved his “adventure”.

Lots of fun houseboats were fantastic

I feel that the property was overpriced as it was out of the way from Key West West.

Beautiful as always, always an amazing stay. Literally the only place we stay in Key West. We love waking up in an aquarium and the social enviroment and sense of community is amazing. Everyone is always welcome at Hurricane Hole.

This place I definely DO NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
It's disgusting a lot of cockroaches and dirty. Attached are evidence.

It was our first time staying in a houseboat. It was truly a great and fun experience. We absolutely loved it.
Very close to Mallory Square

What a fun place to stay, with pelicans as your night watchmen.

This property is located at a local working marina that fishing charters leave from. They clean their catch right on the dock down from the houseboat. There was a fishy smell most of the time. That did not bother us because we knew where it came from. Daily my 4 year old grandson got to see sharks, jelly fish and pelicans in the harbor! We also spotted manatee several days. They would swim right off the porch of our unit! Boat rental and other water sport rentals was on the dock connected to the units. We would stay here again.

Bedrooms were smaller than appeared in pictures, but overall, a great stay.

If staying in a houseboat overnight is on your bucket list, then you will enjoy it. I liked everything but the parking. Restaurant gets a lot of customers, and I had a lot of trouble finding a spot. Also, parking lot needs to be paved. Muddy when it rains. No regrets!

This is a unique opportunity to stay on a houseboat. It's right next to the highway and is part of a working marina so some noise, but really not too bad. Bar closes at 10 or 11pm...great food too! We loved the iguanas, birds and there are at least 6 resident nurse sharks at cleaning station and one day the manatees even came in!!
Boat was very clean and us 3 older ladies felt safe the whole time. Highly recommend trying it!

No contact rental which is fine but...1. the roof was leaking 2. Roaches... we never took our clothes out of our suitcases for fear of bringing them back home so, 5 days living out of a suitcase sucked. 3. Shower leaked into the bedroom so we had to keep a towel on the floor to absorb the water when someone showered. 4. We were given stricked rules of no noise after 10pm but someone was partying until 5am...
Was it slightly cheaper than the local hotels...yes, but definitely not worth it. Next time we will spend the extra. Cool concept but not for all the issues.

Awesome house boats. Great bar and restaurant right next door (they close at ten so it’s absolutely quiet at night)
Clean, comfortable.

The marina can get noisy and we had super noisy party neighbors, they stacked seven people into their unit and didn’t sleep until dawn

I really enjoyed my stay at hurricane hole marina! I highly recommend & look forward to staying again .

The Aqua Lodges are docked in Hurricane Hole marina. A small marina where local fishermen bring charters. We enjoyed having morning coffee on our deck and watched the manatees and pelicans swim around us.

Nice place. Needs a thorough mopping after each guest stay. Good for 2 couples or family.

Awesome place! Cool to see all the ocean life right outside your door.

This property is amazing for the price. Be warned the sleeping loft may only be safe for children as the overhead room was minimal. The restaurant on site was fantastic, the staff super friendly and it was easy to get an Uber anywhere. If you choose to rent a car there is plenty of parking on site. One review we read complained about the noise of a working marine. We heard none.
Overall a great place to stay. FYI. If you have any mobility issues let them know. Most boats have a ramp but a few do not.

Needs blackout curtains in bedrooms. Between the dock lights and sun rising at 6:00am it was difficult to sleep. Restaurant nearby at the marina had great food. Extra or thicker towels would have been nice. It was clean and quiet.

If you're looking for something unique, different, quiet and safe in Key West, I totally recommend this place. Plus you get to see manatees, all kinds of fish including sharks right from your balcony area, this is the place for you. I loved it.

Loved these adorable little homes on the water. So easy to find and get into. Loved having a restaurant right there and enjoyed a delicious dinner with my daughter. I would highly recommend!
Only suggestion would be to add that the 2nd bed was in the loft…and that bed wasn’t made…even though they knew there were 2 people staying. Glad my kiddo was young or that would have been a fun night of drawing straws!

The location of our house was moved and was near the incoming of the other boats. Was constant moving of our boathouse. The lights outside at the restaurant and patio were left on all night. Window coverings were poor mini blinds allowing light into the house all night. A dumpster was near the walkway and was stinky. The mattresses were thin and hard, with very thin bed quilts. Couch was very uncomfortable.
