This is a lovely house but the star is the outdoor living space. The pool, garden and seating areas make the most of sun and shade. There is an excellent BBQ and Plancha. Indoors is well equipped. The large dining table is great for families. The 3 bedrooms upstairs are fine but we didn’t like the two bedrooms in the basement. This area is damp and smells musty. Visitors need to be aware that indoor access to bedrooms is via narrow spiral staircases. Pornichet itself is a lovely location with great beaches, restaurants and architecture in the old part of town. The house however is on a busy road and we found it noisy with traffic and people at night. Overall very good but some things could definitely be improved.

This property is close to everything, market, shops, bakery and beach is a 5 min drive. We enjoyed our stay, the pool was a nice touch and the kids enjoyed it. Location was great. Note to future renters, the 2 bedrooms are in the basement and there is a musty smell in the basement during our stay - it was explained to us that it might be the stone and the area was not used for awhile. We did not bother exploring the reason of the smell but it was not ideal and was not pleasant to stay in the basement. The 3 bedrooms at the top floor were great and decor worked for us. The bathrooms were in good condition and kitchen is complete with all that we need. I booked this property via VRBO Canada but the listing did not provide details. However, it will be nice if the basement gets renovated for future renters.
