We enjoyed a fabulous 4 night stay at Kayon Valley. The staff were all very attentive (we’d seen previous reviews mentioning being badgered by staff at breakfast about plans for the day with a ‘salesy’ slant but we found this not to be the case). Staff just wanted the guests to know what the hotel itself and surrounding area had to offer (free guided walks/free shuttles to and from Ubud centre, spa treatments, local attractions etc). We did not find it pushy (but can understand that others might) but clearly something the hotel management had instilled in its staff. Perhaps this could be eased off a little.
Other than some very minor picky points (nowhere to hang hand towels, interior hall light switch being on the outside of the room, annoying bonfires making it untenable to enjoy the balcony at times) it was very well done. The safe in our room didn’t work but once we reported it, that was quickly remedied.
The food was excellent, the monkeys that visit most mornings were cheeky and the welcome was very hospitable. They chime a gong when new guests arrive which is a nice touch.
Great entertainment with local dances and a very talented duo of keyboard and vocals. If we’re back in Ubud, we’ll certainly stay here again.

We loved how all staff got to know us and created a unique experience. The chef made gluten free meals, which was amazing. The rooms were well maintained and we loved the private pool. They helped us in going to a medical Center and organised transport, we can’t thank them enough.

The facility itself is serene, staff were all kind and lovely. Stayed at few other resorts but Kayon Valley is so far the best!! I would definitely book here again next time we come back to Bali!!

Beautiful luxury in picturesque valley - the Kayon Valley Resort was stunning. We were welcomed warmly and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The staff at the restaurant and resort were so friendly - the food was excellent, the rooms were beautiful and the daily activities were a real bonus.

We would 100% stay here again. The food, service and rooms were absolutely stunning. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel like we were at home. The staff went above and beyond.

stayed for 5 nights. it was a wonderful journey. most poeple were very kind and the place was clean and new. specilly water's clean and warm for 24 hr. like to come back again. one thing is about massage. some are very good, but some are not proffessional.

We had a wonderful stay in our beautiful, luxurious suite with a private pool. The view from our suite was second to none. Service was attentive, friendly and prompt. Area grounds are grogeous with lush tropical plantings.
Interesting experience was the monkeys who came disconcertingly close to us (drinking from the pool, and jumping on the roof of the gazebo), buty ifr you're in the right mindset, this adds to the feeling of not being in Kansas anymore.
A few suggestions that might enhance an already great experience: Perhaps consider new ironing boards and irons, and an extended wine list at the hotel restaurant would be great.
Overall, a fantastic stay and unbeatable value.

Amazing room with a breathtaking view, bed super comfortable, bathroom luxurious, little kitchenette very handy, plunge pool and deck an extra comfort and luxury. Wonderful gardens around villas, loved the privacy. Fantastic, friendly and attentive staff, excellent service. Menu clear, extensive enough, dishes presented beautifully and priced well, not overpriced at all. Hotel infinity pool wonderful. Overall- exclusive tropical luxury with friendly staff.

What to say...this was an amazing experience!It is a gem in the middle of the nature! The hotel is all you expect and more:
-super room with private pool
-clean room and generous size bathroom with bath overlooking the nature outside through a window
-friendly and helpful staff
- FLOATING BREAKFAST and massages are a MUST to try
-room service very efficient
-good quality restaurant and breakfast
-nice big swimming pool
-free shuttle to Ubud center
Minus cons/improvement/things to bear in mind:
-the hotel is a bit away from the main airport, in fact it is locate in the lovely Ubud area. No problems about that but you just need to be aware that with the traffic it will take 1.30-1.45 mins to arrive from the airport.
-the overall hotel would benefit from additional facilities such as SPA/gym etc
-be aware that we are in the middle of the nature so if your are not very brave like me, you have to get used to the local animals/insects:)

I love this property! Staff were warm from the moment you check-in till check-out. Plunge pool was awesome, wonderful view, soft bed, good size bathroom, breakfast was wonderful - ask for the floating breakfast. The buggie rides to pick you up from your villa/restaurant/lobby were fun and we enjoyed the hotel shuttle to the Ubud Palace.
The only thing to this property is, there are not many food choices in the area. Having said that, the restaurant itself is not bad. I'll stay here again, anytime.

A wonderful hotel, great service, peace and quiet close to the bustling Ubud centre. Food is okay, not much variety so only ate at the hotel once. Breakfast is very good, sets one up for a heavy day hiking

Really great property and staff. Be prepared for bugs though as it is in the jungle, also this may be unavoidable in Bali.

Excellent Hotel. The staff are so polite and friendly and would do anything for you. The room was lovely and clean and very spacious. The floating breakfast is a must. The shuttle service was excellent and always on time. The only downside was they was a lot of ants but this is to be expected with all the greenery and the pool doesn’t seem to get much sun. But excellent hotel.

The hotel was beautiful with breathtaking sights and sounds. We cancelled our first day plans to stay and enjoy the hotel. Food was delicious and the pool was delightful. My wife had a Balinese Massage and she loved it. They prepared her a flower petal bath and they gave us a floating breakfast which was a cool experience. By the way, the petals and floating breakfast were at no extra charge. If all of this wasn't good enough, the best thing about the place is the friendly staff. So helpful and such friendly and beautiful people. I am so grateful and can't wait to come back.

Hotel Atmosphere is excellent. Rooms have special pool. Rooms are clean and big. We stayed here for ourr honeymoon and it makes us happy. Breakfast and dinner are very good taste. We loves udhiana resort :)

The villas are amazing. Huge, very good design and equipped well. However, for this amount of money I would expect them to bring the breakfast to the room and they didn’t have a lot of food to choose from and weren’t so tasty either.

It's about 2km from the centre of Ubud which means you can't just wander into town whenever, but there's a free shuttle bus & the resort is in such a beautiful quiet location behind a small village on the edge of a ravine with jungle opposite (including monkeys sometimes). Only downside would be if you are unfit of not stable on your feet as the paths in the resort are very steep. The restaurant is excellent & the staff wonderful would go back.

Beautiful place. Nice view. Friendly staff. Property is not well maintained though & be prepared for insects. We had a huge spider in our room one night. Also need to increase overall level of cleanliness.

The place is very serene. Perfect for a laidback holiday. At night because its rainy season, a lot of flying bugs come to the light so we had to off all the lights in our room. Due to that we can't enjoy the private pool because the pool has light and all the bugs went in and died. Although the whole place smells really nice due to a lot of flowers everywhere. Expect a really peaceful hotel where you can enjoy the big pool all by yourself . Located pretty near to the Ubud centre and a good distance for walking. Customer service was great and awesome hospitality too. Will definitely come again.

Udhiana is truly a hidden gem!! The resort has some of the most gorgeous views and such a hospitable staff. The room is exactly as pictured! Guests will absolutely appreciate the tranquility and peacefulness of the jungle while taking a dip in their private pool. Not to mention, the food is so fresh and delicious! Loved it and we’ll definitely return soon!!

We stayed in Udhianna for 3 days and the resort was located in a beautiful location. We loved the private plunge pools for each room and enjoyed our stay. The beds where a little noisy and creaked with any movement which was a minor issue. Ubud however we were not really keen on, was a rather busy, dirty and smelly little town. We also decided to not visit the monkey forest once we found out the monkeys carry rabbies and HepC and bite a few tourists a day on average! Overall though the stay in the resort was great, however we found venturing out into Ubud unpleasant for our taste.
