Beautiful Hotel, nice staff, perfect view, just the room-service was not as expected

There wasn't a cigar lounge, so we sat in the garden without heating on a winter day. Then, when we wanted to order drinks, they said they did not serve the garden. After talking to two waiters and one manager, they agreed to serve us in the garden. Our drink orders were taken but brought incorrectly. They said they would correct the mistake, but they didn't come back for an hour! We waited for an hour and then went to our room. It was a bad experience. I think they cannot provide proper service because it is winter. Additionally, the table was dirty when we arrived, and they didn't clean it. We were forced to sit at a dirty table.

This is an absolutely amazing hotel - the newly reopened Carlton is back to its iconic best. The staff and service are outstanding from arrival to departure, the hotel oozes decadence and luxury. There’s a new garden courtyard with an amazing pool. This is a 5 star luxury hotel at its finest. A stay is a must when visiting Cannes!!!

A legendary Icon in the city of Cannes, The Carlton remains a jewel after its comprehensive refurbishment a couple of years past. With every detail taken into account, the Carlton Cannes is brought back to life, hence I foresee its successful continuation for many years to come. One minor recommendation: If you are in a world recognized venue, charging for the parking is a bit out touch, likewise, knowing that certain guests arrive in exotic vehicles, a spot at the entrance or. Lose to it is highly recommended. Long live The Carlton Cannes!

I had stopped staying at the Carlton, but it has been updated and WOW. The glamour is back! The icon of the French riviera.

The famous Carlton, post refurbishment does not disappoint! It still is as classy and sophisticated as ever. Every detail is thought considered and nothing is too much trouble. I will be back!

We had the most wonderful experience at the Hotel Carlton. The entire staff was so thoughtful and tentative. From Alessio welcoming us to the Riviera restaurant each morning for breakfast and Yanick giving us superb recommendations at Bar 58. We were so sad to leave today - but look forward to returning very soon!!!

An amazing hotel with extraordinary service. Top notch!!!

The service did not meet our expectation. We felt the whole experince was over priced for the service provided . It was not consistent. For instance, We had to call for our mini bar to be refilled. No one checked on us on the beach to ask if we need anything except for the last day. Some training and adjustment to the service will make it way better !

The Carlton has again become one of the finest hotels in the world. The service was outstanding from breakfast till bar closing. Everyone who works there seems so happy! We enjoyed every minute of the week we spent there. We can’t wait to return.

I had a very bad experience with the hotel it wasn’t up to standard expected and also we had one day staff strike which we left without room service and cleaning the rooms it was horrible not what we were hopping for very disappointed

This hotel was incredible and was our favorite that we stayed at while in the French Riviera. The rooms were extremely clean, the bed was very comfortable and the location couldn’t be beat. Furthermore, the staff was absolutely beyond superb and made everything about our stay even better. From the second we arrived they were welcoming and helpful. Sylvain was particularly incredible helping on a number of different requests. He was professional, easy to communicate with and truly made our trip one that we will always talk about with scheduling dinners, his recommendations, and things to do. He was extremely enjoyable to deal with and can’t speak highly enough about him. On our travels over the years, we have been fortunate enough to stay at some wonderful hotels and the experience from this hotel matched all of them. The location to town was unbeatable and the new renovations were beautiful! We would easily stay here again on our travels back. We can’t rave about the hotel, and experience from Sylvain and other staff members enough.

The gym, the pool and other things were not finished from renovation. - and nobody told us before booking......

All wonderful

The staff score full marks. What lovely people. Each one of them. From check in to concierge to cleaning staff. Their welcome is what saves the hotel. The iconic Carlton is in DESPERATE need of refurbishment. Do this soon for you will soon kill the reputation you have for the rooms need repaint, new carpets new everything. It’s looking very tired.

Amazing. Fantastic location. Delicious food and drinks. Staff very professional but also friendly, polite and discrete. Their attitude made me feel at home.

No usb ports or modern amenities. Beach section of the hotel was under renovation. No shuttle service. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful room with a view. Bathroom very nice and clean.

The hotel needs a thorough renovation. The rooms are not in good condition. Everything in the room is old. The bed, mattress, and pillows are not comfortable. The room door is very old and transfers all the sounds from outside in. The hotel looks very good from outside, and it is acceptable in the common areas, but the rooms beside their size which is quite large, are at the level of a 3star hotel.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel. ALL staff were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The sea fronted room we were given was stunning. We cannot wait to return.
