The pictures did not match up to what I stayed in. It was clean to an extent but it could have definitely been better. You could see stains on the couch and you could clearly see that the fireplace needs to be repaired and the bathroom sink needs to be attached to the fixture or wall. I would stay again if these things are addressed and fixed but if not then I would end up finding somewhere else.

While the place was sufficient to sleep in and get a shower; the pillows need an upgrade, the water pressure and temperature (short lived) definitely need to be much better. There is a fall risk if you lean even the smallest of pressure on the bathroom sink (it is not securely attached). We had an unfortunate power outage on night 2, from 8’ish to 10’ish pm, (if the owners got a notification about that, it would’ve been nice to receive an update). However, the neighbors were outside talking loud enough that we could easily hear their updates for power restoration. If not, we were considering packing up and heading home early. The pictures make it look very updated and remodeled; but there is a long 6”-8” crack to see through in the front door; and a large hole in the fireplace. I’d say we got what we paid for, but in a time of inflation—money is hard to part with for leisure time…so I must say that we will not be returning to this spot. For some this may be acceptable enough to return (and that’s ok). A positive is that the mattress was quite comfortable and the a/c did cool well.

The apartment was well kept and tge neighborhood was not bad friendly people.

This is one of those 5-under-the-circumstances reviews. It's a small place in a low-income neighborhood, but it's clean and functional and nicely funky in an older New Orleans kind of way, and it's just a few blocks from the corner of the French Quarter, so as a place to sleep and recuperate while enjoying time around the quarter, it's great. We had a little trouble with the key box during a late-night arrival - for others who aren't familiar with that model of MasterLock boxes, the secret is that the face pivots up towards you, so you set the combination, push down on the thumb wheel, then pull towards you somewhere along the lip under the numbers.

Will not return. It's a remodeled-on-the-cheap unit in a close to Frenchmen St neighborhood. The photos look better than reality. Pluses: AC worked, hot water for shower and it was freshly cleaned. Great value for expensive time in N.O. But you get what you pay for. Minuses: Early communication and entry instructions were very poor with the rental owner which was very hard for a busy weekend like JazzFest. Couch was filthy and unusable. No furniture, dresser or closet to put clothes. Minimal kitchen dishes, pots and accessories but we didn't cook or eat there. Wear shoes inside -- floor has exposed nails. Be careful -- bathroom sink is not attached to pedestal which is not attached to the floor. When leaned on, it can fall.

Loved: Really cool renovated shotgn house (an architecture style). Great location within walking distance of interesting neighbourhoods. Host quick to answer. To improve: Needs towel racks to hang damp towels. Sheets could use an upgrade. Baseboards could use a wipe but overall, very clean.

I realize this property is under construction, and it was very comfortable, however the bathroom sink and the pedestal are not attached in the bathroom and it's a safety hazard. There's also a lot of weak floor boards and they tend to pinch your feet if you're in bare feet.
