Beautiful property and facilities. Clean and quiet.

Lack of staff presence.

This property is very well situated to enjoy the high peaks of the Adirondacks. It is also a beautifully restored property with a lovely aesthetic featuring lots of wood and Adirondack style furniture.

The main reason I would not return to this property is due to the fact that there is too much noise transfer between rooms. We could hear every cough and conversation and I’m sure it was the same for our neighbours. It almost felt like we were sharing a room! Also the plumbing makes knocking sounds. Additionally, but much less critical, they have gone very cheap on things like toilet paper and shampoo, and didn’t even provide a box of Kleenex. I just think that’s a false economy because they are saving pennies and leaving a cheap impression.

The lodge is a beautiful, very open space. Because we were there over Christmas week, and not on a weekend, we had the run of the house - the restaurant and bar areas were essentially a giant rec room for us and the few other guests.

There was some glitch where the hotel wasn't actually taking any reservations over Christmas so that they could give their staff a few days off (good for them), but somehow Booking and American Express never got the memo, so we arrived to a hotel with a locked front door, no instructions on how to get in, and no indication of what our room was. A local guest at the spa eventually let us in, and she had the home phone number for one of the owners, so after an hour we eventually got our room. And it appears that whoever was supposed to run the building on Dec 26 just didn't show up, so by the 27th, there were no more clean dishes in the coffee area (we started pulling things out of the storage cabinet for the restaurant and bar), and dirty dishes started piling up everywhere.

Loved NewVida! Great location, friendly staff, relaxed vibe and cool architecture - relaxing and unique place to rest after your adventures in the mountains!

No hot water! Rooms were not as pictured. Bare walls and not clean. Bed uncomfortable. Terrible! Lots of issues here. Not recommended.

The grounds are nice, the breakfast is good in the bistro. Yoga class was nice.

Fix the drain in bath tab, the water was not draining properly. Sink should be in the bathroom. The smell on chlorine everywhere. Maybe use different cleaner that does not smell that strong.
