Everything we needed was at hand. We found it to be a convenient and pleasant stay.

Great location! Short drive to Bar Harbor and downtown Bangor

We enjoyed our stay at the Daniel Sergeant House. It retained much of the charm of it's1847 construction but still had conveniences of today, like A/C, great WI-FI and abundant electrical outlets. The fully stocked kitchen is a real plus. Perhaps we will actually cook on our next stay. We will be back!

Enough bedrooms to separate the kids, keeping fighting to a minimum. Great place to relax. It was perfect for us because we ventured out in so many different direction (Acadia,Millinoket, then over to New Hampshire. Particularly impressed the new owners (since we booked the reservation) honored the agreement. A few tweaks to the logistics needed to be made, but they were made flawlessly.

We were late in arriving and Google did not give great directions so we spent some time trying to find the property. We reached out to Kristin who responded quickly and were able to get to the property. Getting in was easy and it was a large space. We did not spend much time there as it was a base for going into Acadia. It is a convenient and safe location and made for a good base of operations. We appreciated there was extra ice available so we could pack or cooler for the day without having to stop and buy ice. Checkout was quick and easy. While it was far (about an hour) from Acadia, we knew this before booking and the price more than made up for it. The drive to the park was nice also so a great deal all around.

Very accommodating host. She made sure we had everything we needed while waiting for our house to be habitable. The house is centrally located to major sites in the greater Bangor area.

We loved staying in this cute home! The renovations done are very nice, all new appliances in the kitchen that sing to you. The rest of the house has the old-home charm. Very clean. My teenagers loved it! The only issue we had was for my in-laws, who were supposed to stay with us, couldn't climb the stairs to the bedrooms, with their knee and back issues. They ended up having to find a hotel room, which was an added expense we didn't plan on. I'm sure if the front reading room had a bed put in, it would work great for people with mobility issues. The downstairs walk-in shower is good for that too! Could use a kitchen table also, but that wasn't a big deal to us. Overall, would definitely recommend and think others would enjoy staying.

The house is large and spacious. The location is nice. Parking is easy. We had issues. The fireplace did not work. The washer, bathroom sink, kitchen wall leaked. The washer only used hot water. The heating was several types with no instructions at all. One bed had a mattress smaller than the frame and not properly supported. All issues were reported via the owner’s father who arrived unannounced one day. The house may be for sale.

Our party of three found this property to be convenient to Bangor and comfortable accommodations. The house is divided into two units and we rented one side. Although the house is quite old, the kitchen and baths are updated. We found the beds to be comfortable. Our host, Kristin, was very helpful to supply an ironing board and iron at our request. For the size of the property, this rental is a good value!

The owner helped us in a short notice crisis and provided a home for my family when our actual home was inhabitable. The location is perfect for anyone looking to visit the Bangor area. Whether you’re bringing your children up for college, exploring the outdoors or attending a major events in the area, this is a fantastic home away from home.

We arrived for Thanksgiving weekend with family. There was plenty of room, but no dining room table. That was ok, because we ate at my sisters. The beds are comfortable and there are all sorts of cute nooks and crannies that Kristin decorated with the theme of mermaids and water. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of hot water for the shower. We are all tall and the shower head was high enough with plenty of water pressure. I would definitely recommend that someone stay here. We did not have the extreme cold of winter to contend with. I'm not sure if the heating system would be enough, although Kristin is installing a gas fireplace in the living room. Thank you for a wonderful stay Kristin. :)
