We've been spending time in this area, working on our retirement home about 1/2-mile away. This is the perfect house to use as a temporary home-base as we get things taken care of with concrete guys, builders, excavating folks, etc. Easy to run back-and-fort from here to the property. Always a clean place, and the location is beautiful.

Excellent location, on top of a ridge a few miles from Somerset. Dead end road, so it is completely quiet and peaceful at the site. Very nice home, well kept, and clean. We are in the process of building a retirement home about 1/2-mile down the hill, so this is the perfect place for us to stay while down there working.

Beautiful and extremely peaceful location for a getaway. We are actually building a retirement home about 1/2-mile from here, and stay in this home whenever we are working down there. It has everything we need, just like home. Very well kept home.

This is our second stay at the site, as we purchased 20 acres of woods about 1/2-mile down the hill to build our small retirement home. It's the perfect place for us to stay while working at our property. It's very well-kept, clean, and has every convenience for a family stay. Owners are awesome to work with. Highly recommended for a vacation stay, though we are working when down there!

We purchased 20 acres of wooded property about 1/2 mile from this rental home. Planning to build our retirement home there. We've been staying in Somerset (hotels) on previous trips, but found this listing online. It was a great place to stay, very near the property we were working on. We will certainly be booking it for many future stays!

- House very comfortable; HVAC is effective. - Very clean on check-in and everything was easy to clean on check-out. - Appliances all work and are in mint condition. - The mountain/valley view from fire pit is amazing. - Try to arrive/leave during daylight hours. We ran into a lot of fog from Richmond to Somerset, which was scary on I75, but terrifying on the small mountain roads after dark. - Very close to town and property large enough for comfortable distance from neighbors so we didn't feel like imposters. :) - Modern smart TV & fast Internet connection. HD streaming was smooth. - House was very easy to clean + fully stocked with cleaning tools and supplies - Huge front/side porch w/comfortable furniture - Beds very clean and comfortable - Check-in was seamless - Indian food at Mirch Masala in Somerset was great - don't be fooled by the strip mall ambience. :) - Couch and reclining chairs are comfortable. - House is well-insulated and cozy - Kitchen works well with ample room and counter space for multiple cooks. Only thing we missed was cast-iron skillet for searing steaks and putting them in oven directly. Other than than, the non-stick pots and pans were great. :) - Will be back if they'll have us. :)
