Wonderful house for 3 generations of our family!

Do NOT skip an opportunity to stay at this house. A group of 22 of us stayed at the house for a long weekend. The house is absolutely stacked with ways to stay entertained, and has SO MUCH space! We lucked out with nice weather the whole weekend, but if it was cold and raining the whole time we would have been completely happy never leaving the inside of the house. Every single one of us slept in a comfortable bed as well. The hosts were very responsive leading up to and during the trip, and happily answered my endless questions. Additionally, the house felt very private, and we loved feeling like we had our own space. We're already planning our next trip back. If you're thinking about staying here, DO IT! You won't regret it!

Nice hiking near the home, close access to the lake, the firepit, and everything the house has to offer was great. Would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and spacious, plenty of room for our group of 19. Nicely stocked kitchen and pantry. Plenty of plates, silverware, etc. It was also nice that they provided paper towels, plates, cups, ziplock bags, etc. Less to have to pack:). Dan was quick to return my calls when I had questions which was greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay here again. Great time had by all!

Enjoyed an outdoor fire on a pleasant winter afternoon. The house was clean and well stocked except for TP. Lots of space for each generation (3) to relax, play or talk. Heating was a bit uneven. Sleeping accommodations worked out perfectly

Absolutely a Winter wonderland Hallmark movie experience! Home is absolutely stunning with capacity and privacy for our entire family of 24. Arrived just as Storm Elliott was coming thru and the home was well prepared for it. Next morning before 7am they had plowed the entrance, it’s a long entrance. Never heard them come thru which was nice after a flight from Orlando to Midway and the drive to the lodge. We were welcome to a beautifully decorated home with a lit decorated 12ft Christmas tree and fire place. It was just stunning. We had an Outdoor winter gathering around the fire pit which was just wonderful. Went for strolls outback by the lake and trail. Host provides much of the needed kitchen equipment that we utilized for our Christmas dinner and baking. Fotos do not make this home justice. We walk away with memories of a life time for all of the adults and even more memorable for the kids. Kids kept saying the were at the North Pole castle. Absolutely wonderful and magical. Couldn't have been happier with our family trip here. About 25 adults and we fit comfortably. This place truly has everything you need - from silverware, to ice maker, to all the little things you wouldnt think of. Highly recommend checking this place out

Lovely property, however the refrigerators and stoves were dirty, the grill was nonfunctional, the ice machine was leaking, the toilets kept running and had to be fixed by a guest and there was laundry left in the washer that gave off a musty odor and all had to be rewashed

We had a lovely week with our family!

The house and the view are beautiful- lake access is great both from the beach and the dock. The night sky and trees are a treat for the eyes and soul. We have already recommend this beautiful home to friends for their own gatherings and we hope to return as well.

This stunning lakeside home was a beautiful venue for our yoga retreat. Dan, the host was very responsive to our questions and needs.

A wonderful weekend in a beautiful home sitting on a serene lake front tucked away in the awe of seclusion. Looking forward to returning after the lake thaw to commune more with nature. An experience that will be remembered, most recent great escape at the lodge.

This cabin (mansion, really) is absolutely incredible. Somehow the pictures don't even do it justice. The owners are also very nice and responsive. I was also impressed that it includes every amenity that I could possibly think of. They really understand the needs of a large group. 10/10 would stay here again!

Our large group of friends and their families had an incredible stay at the Great Escape! The house is even more beautiful in person and the space is perfect for a large group. It’s secluded and offers awesome outdoor activities. Our communication with the host was easy and fast. Highly recommend!! Thank you, Dan!

This the second time we have stayed here and we will be back again. Our family is large with ages from 3 to 70. I can't think of anything the owners could have added to the property to make it better. Not to mention the lake and what it has to offer. 5 Stars all the way!
