Perfect location for a family vacation, walking distance to everything you need. Quite street at night and Rex is very responsive host. Our family had a great vacation here this year!

Location of the property was perfect to accessing the beach. A short walk away and you found yourself with an array of options for dining, shops and restaurants! Lots to do right around the corner. Rental property provided a lot of options to keep you busy as well from the bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. We found the pool to be our favorite spot for the weekend.

Our family had a wonderful time at this convenient location! We were able to experience kayaking and stand up paddle boarding at the bay, which are available on the property, and bicycling. The pool was amazing! Walking distance to Bridge Street and to the beach. We will be back!

Quick trip, only 2 nights with my kiddos over Easter. Good food, quick trip to the beach. Property was fine for our adventure.

The Cortez resort was fantastic! My wife and I really enjoyed the house and the back patio/pool. Kids also loved it, really enjoying the pool. It's a stones throw to the beach and a short walk to Bridge street stores, restaurants, and pier. Rex had his place very clean and offered all essential amenities - cookware, grill, books, internet, and cable tv. We hope to be back!

This was our second time staying at this place. The location and the pool are the best thing about this place. Also, there are so many extras there as well like kayaks, paddle boards, nice beach chairs, umbrellas and lots of toys for the kids. Will definitely come again.

Convenient, easy access to everything. Host couldn’t have provided anything else that they aren’t hadn’t thought of.

The location of this property was fantastic! We rented a golf cart and cruised the island the entire stay, perfect weather every day. The new swimming pool area was fantastic and the property was super clean. Perfect for 2 people. It was a all around win-win!

Everything was exactly as described! Rex was so easy to work with and very responsive even checking in to make sure we were ok!! Pool area was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed it every evening. Everything you need for the beach was right our fingertips and literally steps away from the beach. This home was perfect and the location was even better... we will definitely go through Rex again and recommend you do as well!!!

I love this place. Clean, comfortable, stocked and in a great location for walking across to the shore or around Bradenton Beach. Awesome pool and hot tub. The owner is caring and makes sure you have everything you need. This was my 2nd visit this year, and we will definitely be back!

Pros: This property has an incredible pool and is location in a perfect location ti the beach and downtown area with in walking distance with lots of bars, restaurants and shopping. Communication with the host was very good. Check in easy. Pool was the start of this property as mentioned several times in the listing. Cons: The AC is not central but rather window units in each room that struggled to maintain accurate temps to keep each room cool especially at night. There was a rather long list of chores to do for the renters such as doing your own laundry, taking out trash and running the dishwater (which was not a normal dishwasher it is one that you have to hook up to the sink yourself) for the high amount of cleaning fees is it not right for the renters to do most of the cleaning work. Why pay high cleaning fees if we have to do most of the work? The apartment unit itself was not as nice as the photos eluded to, it is a very basic apartment that was converted I suppose from a garage. It’s very small. Furniture, towels, kitchen equipment/utensils are all basic quality. You are paying for the amazing pool, location, cleaning fees and not for the apartment itself.

Property was extremely clean and Rex went out of his way to communicate promptly and even checked in with us after the first night. Back yard pool is excellent and relaxing - loved it. Proximity to beach and Bridge Street make this property a no brainer…highly recommended!!

It was a nice place but the flood issue needs to be fixed. We loved the pool. The inside of the house was just average. Not very fancy. The one bedroom didn’t have an outlet which was inconvenient. Beds were comfortable.

Our family had a great time. We loved the close proximity to restaurants and the beach. Lodging and pool was as described.

The house is pretty well depicted in the photos. There is not central ac which in some of photos you can see window units. Window units are fine but these seem to struggle to effectively cool the bedrooms. In the rules your are also instructed to not change the temperature of the units and to use a fan if hot but there is not a ceiling fan in the rooms. The pool is an amazing addition along with the hot tub. However the pool is not private and is shared with the other floor of the house which we did not realize until arriving and another family was in the pool. Looking back at the post it does not say it is a shared pool but it does have a link that shows the other floor. It's not a deal breaker to share the pool especially if the other renters enjoy the same things as you. The first Set of tenants were very similar to us (30s couple) so sharing was ok but definitely cuts in on both occupants quite time. The second group of tenants had 4 small children and invited other families over the pool with their families. On our last night there were at least 10 people in the pool where it was unusable to us. Pictured in the post is an expensive mirrored window that's fine during the day but at night anyone in the pool can see right through the house and there are no curtains for privacy. Being on the bottom floor we heard every footstep of our upstairs neighbors. The owner seemed nice but when I asked if there was a certain setting the pool should be left on at night he seemed annoyed and mentioned we shouldn't really touch the control panel even though there were instructions in the extensive list of rules on how to operate the panel to turn on the hot tub blower, lights, and heat the hot tub. The next morning a pool company was out testing and telling us does and don'ts of the pool. The rules were much stricter then any house I've stayed in, one example being if you smoke or vape on the property you will be police escorted off the property?? This rule was not applicable to us and I completely understand keeping a smoke free house and appreciate it but it just seems excessive. I would still recommend this house to family's that have kids, the kayak and paddle boards on site is an awesome bonus and the pool is far better then alot of other rentals we have stayed at and seen on the island. The location could not be better being such a close walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall we still enjoyed ourselves but wanted to share our entire experience

We were traveling with a large group; my family, my brother's family, and our parents. We wanted a property that had two units attached to each other so we could be close but yet have our own space and the added bonus of being close to the beach. This property checked all of those boxes. The pool area is obviously the crown jewel of this property and we all enjoyed it immensely. The pool had areas for everyone to enjoy and the patio areas around the pool had plenty of room for us to gather and visit or have a cookout, there were even plenty of shady areas. The upper unit has been updated, has an amazing view of the bay, has been decorated nicely, and was very roomy & comfortable for our mealtime gatherings, the only downside is it only has 1 bathroom. The lower unit was convenient for my parents as there are no stairs and it has easy access to the pool & patio, however it has not been updated and is need of some tlc. Having said that, it was comfortable and served our purposes well. A huge bonus are the kayaks and paddle boards at the property; our group had a blast paddling almost daily. As far as the area...it is busier and more touristy on that part of the island, but if you don't mind that then you can't beat the location, it literally is 65 steps to the beach and even less to the bay. The owner was responsive when I contacted him and seems to honestly want you to enjoy your stay. If you are traveling with a larger group and want to be super close to the beach but not pay beachfront prices, you can't beat these units.

We had a fantastic time on our family vacation! Pool was great! Paddle boards and kayaks were a blast! We all loved it here.

Nice clean place just steps from the beach. The pool and hot tub were a huge plus the kids lived in it.

Wonderful location. Close to beach , shops and restaurants. Patio and pool were amazing!

We stayed here for a week over Christmas. Everything was perfect. The salt water pool was the icing on the cake. We used the pool and the jacuzzi everyday. Walked to the beach everyday. Takes about a minute. All the restaurants, coffee shops etc are all within walking distance. Will definitely return.
