This hotel was quite a surprise. Wonderful, modern, beautifully appointed with all the nice touches. The breakfast was wonderful, and we really enjoyed the covered & enclosed front porch for having breakfast outdoors. It was so nice that we are already discussing reasons to return to the area, just so we can stay there again! I should also mention that the cost surprisingly moderate for such a fine establishment. A splendid time is guaranteed for all!!

This is easily a 10 out of 10 for me! Modern, clean and quiet. Simply gorgeous!! Every floor was enhanced by beautiful artwork. I’m already looking forward to my next trip.

Having lived in Elkins for many years, I remember this as a rundown building covered in ivy and kudzu. More of an eyesore than the beautiful representation of the history this wonderful town possesses. I came back for a couple of days for my daughter's wedding. I was stunned when I entered the building. That continued up the elevator, down the hall, and into the room. I had a wonderful, much needed, night of sleep after hours of decorating the reception hall. The continental breakfast was fantastic, and included fresh fruit and freshly baked muffins along with a variety of cereals, bagels, etc. The staff greeted me and offered their assistance with the same kindness you will find throughout the town. I highly recommend staying in this hotel to add to your experience while visiting Elkins and all of the amazing places in the surrounding areas.

This hotel is stunning — newly renovated with attention to details and preserving the historic aspects of the building. Our room was beautiful, immaculate, and spacious. The bed was super comfortable. The hotel bar and restaurant are wonderful, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious! I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to going back!

I look forward to staying her again. Will come with an appetite as menu was enticing. Had the ceasar with tomato jam - delish! Bed comfortable, room quite, water hot. All good.

Great place to stay in Elkins! Reasonably priced and the hotel has been completely remodeled, with large rooms, modern features, but combined with the charm and uniqueness of a older cool building. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was very nice. I highly recommend, in fact this is probably the best place to stay in Elkins!

Wow! This place is super nice. I’ll definitely stay again. Worst part is the parking. Every single thing I love about a place this one had. Hidden 75$ dog fee.

Great service, friendly staff and a really good breakfast

The Tygart is an historic hotel fully renovated in 2024. The decor is tasteful and pays homage to historic communities in the area. Original tin ceilings in the lobby and millwork throughout are surrounded by modern amenities and original local artworks. Great on sight bar and restaurant.

Wonderfully restored old hotel. Loved it. Wish we had more time there. Would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at the Tygart Hotel was perfect. Accommodations were clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Service all over was exceptional.

Hotel was recently renovated….. rooms were adequate but bathroom was lovely …..very bright w great shower. Restaurant was very good ….both service and fare. Will return.

We were a little leary of staying in a downtown hotel, but we are very glad we did. The hotel is lovely and clean and easily accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. A special event prevented us from trying the restaurant this time, but staff helped us find a choice of other eateries in town. Thanks !!

Beautifully remodeled property.

1924 meets 2024. This old historic hotel has been COMPLETELY refurbished to its original splendor and made better with the most modern conveniences and comforts. We thoroughly enjoyed the place and the warm and friendly staff! Special shout out to Cindy who was an awesome bartender and a great conversationalist!

This historic hotel was very well appointed. The breakfast was fantastic, the staff were so nice, and my room was amazing. The only reason I gave the four was because there wasn’t really anything to do in the area.

The place was very nice, clean and newly renovated. The decor were beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. I truly enjoyed my stay.

We checked in after 6PM on a Sunday so quite a few local restaurants were closed. The hotel is gorgeous. The room is clean and the beds are very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
