THe hotel is excellent. I have known it from past stays. The only objection is that the price of my room DOUBLED from the time I reserved (Easter time - COronovirus time) and my trip had to be cancelled. Hotel.com gave me a Voucher to stay in the future - but when I finally managed to stay in June with my wife, the price was doubled what I paid to HOtel.com in April.

I had no idea until I arrived that there was a Michelin starred restaurant inside. Wow what a beautiful hotel that exceeded my expectations. Very posh and classy. The only recommendation I can make is please have soya yoghurt or any non-diary yoghurt for breakfast and also serve one vegan cake instead of all of them having eggs in, as everyone can enjoy a vegan cake so it’s more inclusive. I would go back again.

The overall beauty of the property was spectacular. They seem to continually do updates to the hotel. The staff speak English and our friendly. The breakfast offers a wide variety of buffet options, but their restaurant for dinner has a very limited menu. If you plan on starting your day before 7:30 a.m. however, you cannot get coffee (cappuccino) because the dining staff do not come in until that time.

The heated pool on top of the hotel is amazing! Location is great too.
Rooms are quite small but overall it’s a great hotel. Staff is very polite although some receptionists could be more polite

I stayed here for 5 nights recently with my wife and little boy (20 months) and the staff were incredibly kind to us all throughout. Everyone from the front desk to wait staff and cleaners doted on our boy and helped make a truly lovely end-of-summer holiday for us. The hotel is a beautiful throw-back to the Art Deco imperial style era and was situated in a perfect spot along the promenade. The food at the hotel was very good but there are also plenty of spots in the town to dine so it was great to have options. The beach was Very clean and beautiful and the water a perfect temperature for swimming! So close to Pisa, this is a great spot for a peaceful family holiday in September !

Great location, great service. I was just expecting a little bit more wrt the breakfast buffet (e.g. quality of products), but overall we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly consider coming back. I would recommend

The hotel is very tired. Needs fresh paint in halls and rooms. Hallways are very sparse. No art or mirrors on the walls. Definitely not warm and cozy.

I liked the hotel a lot. Its a nice 5 star property, perfectly located. Great breakfast, nice rooms. Our room had a sea view with a balcony - which we enjoyed a lot. Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel has an agreement with one of the beaches nearby - you pay 30 euro per couple and can make use of sunbeds and umbrella, plus swimming pool on the beach.
The only criticism I have is that staff at swimming pool seemed to be moody (both staff members on the day I was there). A woman was handing out swim caps saying "you have to wear it" and she did sound quite like an "order". Actually its the first time I had to wear a swim cap at 5* hotel 's swimming pool (for hygiene reasons ...? ) which I thought was quite ridiculous giving the fact that edges of swimming pool had some old bird shit on it... Hygiene?...
Apart from this - nice hotel and I would certainly recommend it.

Lovely stay again at this hotel. We stayed here last year also, high quality, rooms to a high standard, professional and helpful staff. Opposite beach and good size pool on the rooftop.

This is an excellent choice in Viareggio, which is a cool town on the Tuscan Coast. Right on the prominade and offers a nice breakfast selection (included in room rate). Hotel Principe is not cheap, but very nice.

stayed here for 5 nights - a fabulous building, ideal location, rooftop pool is stunning. room on 1st floor was very basic-nice balcony, no info in room re: hotel facilities, quite noisy due to being on main road, nice wee colony of ants in bathroom!, had to pay for bottled water out mini bar and no tea/coffee making facility. we returned home twice to discover our door was unlocked- fortunately nothing missing! one day our room hadnt been serviced. breakfast was great, infact service at both restaurants and bar were great. although lunch at rooftop restaurant was average 20 pounds per person. overall-VERY overpriced and expect much much better service when paying these rates.

The hotel is fine nothing was bad, though nothing is impressive. It is the best in town since most hotels are 2 or 3 stars except this hotel and one more. no 5 star hotels The staff were extremly friendly and helpful The prices are high for this hotel level and location

We had a wonderful week at the hotel, the location, staff and professionalism were without doubt first class. The bike hire from the hotel was a bonus and a marvellous way and method to explore the local area. We will certainly go back.

A very nice experience, the staff was extremely helpful and they had a wonderful dining room with superb food. We arrived late and the supper was still delicious with top notch service. It's a little out of the way but not too much, a short cab ride to the important sites. We'd definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel. One thing they could fix is the air conditioner, it's not too efficient, but the room was spotless.
