As a frequent traveller I rarely find a property like the CBR Boutique that does just about everything right. I was in Coimbra for 3 nights and the staff was amazing! After checking in we were taken to the room so that we could be given a tour which was a great touch. The room we were in was beautiful with power black out blinds and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel stay with memory foam pillows too. Nice seating areas and extremely quiet. There were many other nice touches like sweets, coffee and tea in their breakfast room after breakfast hours and many tips about the city from the staff. The room also included a really nice breakfast buffet with very welcoming and pleasant staff. I wish I could have added on another night to my 3 night stay. When I go back to Coimbra this will be my "go to" hotel. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay at CBR Boutique hotel. It is so clean and comfortable. Beautifully decorated. The staff are all wonderful. So helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a beautiful square right in the middle of town.

Excellent hotel! I usually do not write reviews but I must do it this time. Perfect location with river view and walking distance to all touristic attractions. exquisite interior design, very clean, quality towels and bed sheets. Large windows, very modern. Good breakfast, great coffee and pastries. Rooftop views. I am picky about hotel rooms but can’t find anything negative to say about CBR Boutique Hotel. If you are visiting Coimbra do yourself a favor and stay at CBR. You will thank me later.

The hotel was gorgeous! One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at in my life. Decor was beautiful, the room was very modern and very large. Wonderful breakfast and view from the top floor where you eat breakfast. Staff was helpful and very polite. I will stay here again when I come to Coimbra.

This hotel was confusing in a few ways. First, we did not receive directions how to access this not so accessible hotel when management knew the GPS instructions are wrong. So we spent 1/2 hour driving in circles before finally driving on a pedestrian walkway, unloading luggage, then parking on the other side of the river. The hotel appears to pride itself on high tech, but the 20 some switches in the room make for confusion on what controls what lighting and window shades, one of which broke our first day. The bed is supposed to be state of the art, yet it is very soft by most standards. We felt that we were sleeping in a valley. The breakfast was modest. The rugs throughout the hotel, especially in the elevator, should be vacuumed and cleaned more often. The hotel is fashioned after the university library, and so the decor is concrete sculpted books on the walls of the shower, toilet and hallway areas. Very unique. The staff were professional and friendly. The area around the hotel is cheerful with many cafes. As in a lot of Portugal, the walk to the university and other restaurants is steep though we learned too late of an elevator.

Amazing hotel with novel rooms, central location and easy access to all around. Beautifully appointed and wonderful breakfast and views. Highly recommend !
