The Brandon Inn is a beautiful, historic building, however, there was many upgrades that need to happen to make it a worthwhile stay. The bedding was stained, the bathtub paint was chipping off, the shower curtain support was missing, making the rod no stable at all. The room I had, had no heat source other than a very old space heater, that I didn’t feel comfortable running at nighttime. In addition, the mattress was very uncomfortable. The room seemed fairly clean, except it clearly hadn’t been dusted in a while, and the bedding stains were displeasing. I was also off put by the fact that there wasn’t staff there, and the exterior doors were all left unsecured all night. Luckily the rooms themselves had punch coded dead bolts, but it was still a bit odd.

Overall stay was fine- biggest problem is lack of elevator service and when one is 82y/o, that is a problem. But the town is charming and a fun place to visit.

All 4 of us are in our 70s, lugging suitcases up 4 flights of stairs, and claw foot high bathtubs were hard to navigate. . Free breakfast was very minimal, bread, yogurt, fruit. Each room was decorated in vintage style, very cute!

The photos on the website were obviously taken long ago. This hotel is in need of definite help. The rooms were mostly clean, there were empty water bottles in our room that weren’t ours. My mom with limited mobility either had to wait in staff to help her with the elevator or stay in the room. There was only one tv in the two bedroom room, and it was in the room with twin beds. There were doors left open in the hallways that led to rooms full of junk and lumber. The doors didnt even close evenly all the way around. It was just a really disappointing stay especially for $250. The best part about this stay was truly the staff who were in fact very friendly.

Classic New England inn. Love the history and location. Very pleasant place; however it really needs renovation . Everything is getting too old although they are doing good job to keep the old charm.

This property has minimum staff or as it seems no staff at times. We were about ready to carry our luggage 2 flights up when a young lady showed up and became our elevator operator. The elevator is because of its age and no floor buttons only to be operated by staff.

The property has a lot of charm but is quite old with some resulting issues. Like the floor was so out of level that we ended up sleeping with our heads at the foot of the bed-which was no problem. It was very clean and the shower and ac worked great so really it met our needs for the price!

Very old and partly restored hotel. Floors upstairs were entertainingly wavy. Our door had some issues but I heard they will all be updated. The breakfast was fantastic, very orderly and clean. Lovely hotel.

Booked this room same day. Price had increased by $25. Room was not clean. Iron burn in center of the carpet. Comforter on queen bed was stained. Dead bug on bed. Alerted front desk. Staff was courteous. They found is another room. Unfortunately it was a King with a double bed. Had to adjust sleeping arrangements which was not comfortable. Room was cleaner. Bathroom mirror was streaky.
