Great place to stay in Northfield, close to St Olaf College and downtown area. It's convenient to get in and out of the property. Walking distance to coffee shop and restaurants.

Staff were nice, able to do an early check in but charged a fee. Came back from our event and door keys didn’t work. Staff had to use a metal hanger to break into the room. Door didn’t work going forward. Very apologetic but a little unnerving.

The hotel had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lobby and our room on the first floor. We had to open the window. The hot tub only half the jets were working, it was luke warm, and was rusted on the sides and floor. Also, it is right next to the train tracks and there were several trains during the night. All in all it was just okay - but for future visits to Northfield we will stay somewhere else.

The property is right next to the train tracks so we did have quite a scare in the middle of the night from a train horn waking us all up. But otherwise, the hotel appears to be kept neat, just the rooms were not that updated. The bathrooms were clean but old.

The biggest problem with the property is the rail line 40 feet from the windows w frieght trains running by almost every two hours in the clock. All night long!!!

The value ratio was tight here, but then again there are only a couple of options in town. I thought given the location it would be a lot nicer given the price. It was a very basic accommodation with extremely nice people operating it.

One suggestion is to have a big clock on the wall in swimming pool area. That way people know the time while in the pool and don’t need to get out of pool just to check the time. Knowing the time allows your guests to enjoy your pool as long as possible.Thanks!

Very comfortable and clean. The only two negatives were that the hot tub was out of service and there were no grab bars in the tub/shower or the bathroom. Very surprising to find that lacking in a newer facility. I would stay there again.

Room 103 was way smaller than we anticipated. For 2 people difficult to move around. Only one chair which was a reclining chair w a back that did not provide any support. Needed to ask for a replacement which turned out to not be much better.

On a more positive note the bed was comfortable and the room very quiet considering the hotel was right along side a fairly busy railroad track. The other side faced a busy street but not much traffic latecat night into the early morning. Small refrig was a nice amenity.
