The best attributes about the Hotel Alphubel in Zermatt were its location and reasonable price (at least it was reasonable for this area). It is an easy walk from the train station, and a short block away from the main commercial street. The worst thing about it is that the bathroom had a slight sewage odor. The bathroom was small but clean, and the odor wasn't so bad that it was detectable in the room when the door was closed. The bed was not especially comfortable, but adequate.

We only slept 1 night and we set off very very early. The room were quite small, but it had everything you need. Also, the balcony compensate for the smaller room. The weather was nice so we had the dinner on the balcony. I wish I could stay longer.

Nice hotel closed to the main street and train station. Very convenient. Breakfast was great. Hotel room was a little be outdated, but the price was good.

Check-in was next door at Continental Hotel but given plenty of notice of this. Reception was so helpful with extra pillows and a kettle as well as being efficient and professional. Was very impressed with this. Location was very central to everything and having an outdoor section to our room was very welcome (although no shade available). Room was spotless and extremely comfortable. Pity we were only stopping two days. Zermatt itself is very busy, lots of restaurants/thing to do and lots of visitors and we are glad we finally made it there. Often gets cut off in winter and with local storms we were worried ourselves as trains from Visp were bus replacement. But all worked for us in the end and very happy we chose this hotel to stay at.

1. The rooms are very cramped 2. There is no window in the room as shown in the pictures on expedia. 3. The bathroom is very small and there in not enough space even to stand while taking shower. The picture on expedia shows a decent sized bathroom. 4. The room was unclean and the pillows and bed sheets were not changed. 5. We had requested a room on higher floor but we were assigned a room on the first floor which was noisy. 6. Thus the price paid by us is too expensive and we did not enjoy our stay at all. We are totally disappointed as it seems expedia does not verify the postings on their website. We will never book again on expedia.

For the price you pay this is a mediocre hotel. There was absolutely no staff at anytime. Breakfast is just for name sake.quadruple room is really tiny. I should have rather paid and stayed elsewhere. The carpet is some ugly color and room doesn’t look fresh though it’s clean. Bathroom is also real tiny

PROPERTY WAS NEARBY TO STATION WITH BASIC FACILITIES ,ROOM WAS GOOD HAVING GOOD VIEW FOR THE MOUNTAINS, ENGLISH BREAKFAST WAS A DELIGHT.

Great room (with extra sitting area AND porch to sit out on to enjoy the view!) that was quite convenient to the main train station, Gornergrut Station, restaurants and shopping. Generous breakfast was tasty and a variety of options.
