It was a great getaway for our family and my daughter's first all inclusive resort. The beach was beautiful and clean, but there were some rocks in the water, I'm glad we brought our water shoes. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed the Sun Club lounge and ammentiies. We also loved the entertainment and watching the nightly shows such as the circus night and the white party on the beach. The only complaint I would have is that is was hard to reserve spots, cabanas, pool side seats with shade. My husband had to get up early and use our towels from the previous day to reserve shade. The pool also left a terrible green stain in some of our bathing suits from not being cleaned enough. We stayed mostly at the beach every morning because of this reason. My daughter loved the kids club water slides too. I would definitily recommend this hotel and give it 4 stars.

This rating is not about liking it’s about listing the correct information when booking it. The room was dirty and beds had tiny bugs on them and women lipstick on pillow cases. The TV had no cable and nobody sent yo fix it. Also the toilet was not flushing it was broken. I have a video of this. I expect to be reimbursed for part of this stay as I will be contacting my credit card company.

Positive: Confortable w/AC Coffe Shop, Beautiful and pleasant beach area. Restaurants. Negative: Many mosquitoes and 1 of our rooms had trouble with the WC, hotel maintenance couldn't fix it completly.

Many read the reviews to know what issues to look for… so here are mines: 1. Biggest issue is the SMOKING. Per customer service, smoking is permitted in all open area. Which means almost everywhere. I have asthma and smoking makes it hard for me to breathe and throat gets itchy. The majority of the guests are smokers and the minority like myself are non-smokers. Feels like the smokers are catered to more as you have to find areas you are not exposed, or speak up and ask guests to move when they decide to come to your area. The resort should create one area where those who smoke can go. This is a family resort with many kids. Everyone is exposed to second hand smoke. For this reason, I will not return or recommend. Only If the resort makes stricter rules with smoking will I return. 2. Unable to get a lounger in the beach or pool unless you go at 5-6am. The workers tries to help but all chairs have hotel towels and the waters are empty. People hold them and leave. 3. Only 3 restaurants so the wait is long. You are lucky if they give you a beeper to notify you when your table is ready. No beeper and you are not on the list. Last night I went at 6:30pm, got a beeper and wasn’t called until 8pm. During that time the line is long with 50-60 people waiting to get to the hostess. Resort needs faster service. Your entire night is waiting to get into a restaurant. That means you miss the shows and entertainment. Those are my top 3.

DO NOT COME HERE! Food in the buffet was served raw, the hostesses at the restaurant never gave us clear answers on the wait time and had us there for over an hour and a half, & our power went out the first 30 minutes of our stay.

Staff and front desk were rude I called the front desk for replacement batteries 3x before having to walk down and get them myself. Purchased tropical view rooms only to be put in the middle of the courtyard facing another building Housekeeping didn’t bring fresh towels or washcloths the entire stay. Thankfully I had washcloths in my luggage that a friend recommended to bring. My mother whom is handicapped hand to climb three flights of stairs as there are no elevators.

Our stay at Sunscape wasn’t pleasant. The check in process was disorganized and long. Plus, we did not received a nice friendly welcome. Rooms were clean and roomy. Food was bad, dishes that were supposed to be hot were not. There were flies and bees in several of the dishes. One of my daughters even got a stomach bug as a result. Drinks were made with cheap alcohol. Several days, early in the afternoon they run out of certain types of drinks. Really…, how does a hotel in the Caribbean run out of Piña Colada and mojitos at 4:30 pm! Additionally, at the beach snack bar, the ran out of certain food, and only offered tiny hamburgers (buns almost twice the size of the meat), hotdogs, fries and nachos (with what seamed like leftover over bottom of the bag chips). But the worst part was there were never chairs available at the pool or the beach. Guess would leave their towels overnight and claimed their spot. Thus, it was very difficult to find a spot on the beach or pool to relax. Very stressful! Lastly, on our last day we ordered a bellhop to assist us with our luggage. We waited 35 minutes and no one came, we ended up taking our own luggage down from the 3rd floor of building 10, pretty far from the front desk in a 90 degrees heat. We will not be staying at this hotel ever again or recommending it.

For price I paid for ocean view, I got pool view room. They didn’t even propose any compensation or anything. Room wasn’t clean enough, floors was dirty and bathroom also. I cleaned myself before we took our shoes off or used bathroom. Very disappointed! I will never go back there again!

My family stay at the hotel was overall great! The staff and service were excellent. The food at the restaurants and staff were excellent EXCEPT the buffet. The food was cold and not tasteful. The rooms and bathrooms needs upgrading as the bathroom faucet leaks and looked rustic! Some room furniture are outdated and damaged! My overall experience was great and I would definitely recommend and return!

And she give one far way at 3rh floor room dirty and take 1/2 hour walking to first restaurant. And the must terrible food I ever had. Do not go this place you will loose your money.
