This is a very clean and comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean and well equipped. They have both soft and firm pillows in the rooms to fit all preferences. The staff was very kind and the location is next to a Culver's and an IHOP. The only issue we had was that the key cards didn't work on the exterior doors. Because of limited parking in the front, it made for a long haul to the room. To be fair, it was obviously a fluke issue. They tried reprogramming our cards but it was apparently a problem with the door locks instead. Also, they offered us free snacks for the inconvenience. Overall, a good stay.

Beds were comfortable, pool area was very clean, employees were cordial, breakfast was good. There needs to be charging stations in the rooms.

I always stay there when going to a Chiefs game. Close to many restaurants and a casino.

Hotel had very strong chemical odor and was very damp. We tried two rooms and decided we couldn't stay with the smell and wetness. Carpet was sticky, bedding felt damp, heavy cleaning/air fresher smell obviously trying to cover up some issues. Air fresher was burning our eyes even after a few minutes. We asked for a refund and were denied, so ended up losing our money and paying for a room at a different hotel near by.

I liked that it was near a shopping center and several food selections. The room (floors) could have been cleaner.

Our stay was okay for the most part. The room was a bit small but comfortable. It appears the property may be under construction. There was a heavy scent of cleaner that smelled like bug spray.

There was no drain plug for the bathtub. The water pressure was the lowest I've ever felt. There was a strong chemical smell, especially in the halls and by the elevator. I'm assuming it's from work being done in the hotel. Could literally see clouds of chemicals. Did not have enough towels for the number of people staying in the room. Positives: Breakfast was great and better than expected. Very friendly and helpful workers.

Room that we got was NOT what I reserved! I used Expedia/Hotels.com Rewards to book a one-night King bed, but what we got was 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa. The attendant who checked us in first claimed that the room was what we requested (it was not), then, after talking to her boss on the phone, said that all king beds were booked to other people. When we asked about compensation, they said that because we booked through Expedia/Hotels.com, Holiday Inn Express couldn't do anything about it. NOT HAPPY their customer service. In the room, one dresser drawer would not stay closed, and the window blind would not go all the way down. All that being said, the room was clean and relatively comfortable.

There was no window covering in my room. I didn’t notice until I came back to my room at midnight a light was shining through my window and people were looking right in it. I had to use a sheet to cover the window.

They ruined my kids event that we planned out so meticulously so that nothing bad would happen. We ended up missing most of our event because the nearest accommodation we could find with only 20 minutes notice was over 40 minutes away. Thanks for ruining our trip for your greed.
