I would compare our stay to that of a hospital stay without the middle of the night nurse check ins: a little out-dated, a little too sterile, maybe a stray hair left in the shower, breakfast was good and hot with plenty of things to choose from, the bed was clean and comfy. All of your basic necessities were right there: coffee maker, hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner, bar soap. Staff was available and at the desk at all times. Vending machine worked. There was a swimming pool but we didn't check it out. Overall I'd stay here again. The only thing that bothered us was the little cleaning man who accused us of smoking in our room as we were checking out. It was a very random accusation actually; we hadn't seen him at all the whole stay and he was coming in from outside as we were leaving the building. Very rude of him. Aside from that, the stay was perfectly fine.

Overall a decent 1-night quick stay. Front desk staff not incredibly friendly, welcoming, or energetic. Price was very good.

I am very disappointed with how the staff handled a personal emergency at the Quality Inn at 18830 Harbor Country Dr, New Buffalo, MI 49117. My reservation was booked through Hotels.com and I was traveling to this area for a particular business purpose; however, a couple of days before my travel, my mother-in-law had a major medical emergency. I canceled my plans so that I could hold vigil with my family. I contacted this location twice and asked for a refund since I had just experienced some extenuating circumstances, and both times, my request was declined. I had a reservation for another hotel in connection with this trip, and that hotel never questioned my request for a refund which was granted.
I am very disappointed in this level of customer service, and I will never use Choice Hotels again.

This hotel only had rooms available that were moldy and musty. This was probably due to water damage on the ground floor. Our Allergies would have gone rampant. we actually decided to find a different motel. We were not able to get any reimbursement from the motel or Expedia.
I would never stay in another Quality Inn. It was advertised as being excellent but was terrible.

We all always stay at this hotel when we go to New Buffalo, MI. This time we put the air conditioner on and it was a bit loud . Other than that it was great.
