We arrived on the first significant snow fall of the winter, the staff called us in the morning advising of the weather conditions and suggested we give ourselfs a little more time. Vicki met us on arrival, she was very welcoming and we got a great impression right from the start. I was booked in for a body massage withVicki, she was amazing, one of the best massages i have ever had.
We liked our room and enjoyed the food, we had done the New Lanark experience already so didnt do that this time, would throughly recommend this also!
We did do the walk up by the waterfalls the next day which was asight to behold.

Good location in restored converted old cotton mill by the falls of Clyde. Friendly staff. Good service. Good quality food in the restaurant. My wife enjoyed the Spa facilities. Mobile signal patchy due to location in a steep sided valley but hotel provided free Wi-Fi.

Quiet hotel with great walks around the Clyde. Weather made it a great afternoon outside.

Was disappointed this time, our third visit. The room was covered in dust on all surfaces, and the bathroom floor was left dangerously wet. We were a little early for check in but so were many others who came after us but managed to get into their rooms right away. We had to wait 2
30 minutes. Apart from the dust the room itself was lovely. However the sachets of hot chocolate and coffee had been there for a long time as the coffee was nearly solid.
The breakfast was terrible, dried up fatty square sausage you could hardly cut and bacon which was so overcooked and had been left standing for goodness knows how long. If this was my first visit I wouldn't go back. However I have been twice before and I know they are better than this. I will try again but if its not improved, next time will be my last.
Sorry for the not good review but I hope it will help to improve the next visit.

Location is great, its part of a UNESCO World heritage. We stayed two days with breakfast and had dinner twice, which where both good. We stayed in the suite which was very roomy but could need some more furniture. Taking a shower for the elderly and/or disabled can be dangerous in the small bathtub. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Recommend!!

The Falls of Clyde walk was lovely. About 3/4 mile all in. The hotel was lovely, not too busy. Pool was empty and water not too cold. Big clean room. Breakfast was a little disappointing, some missed items, overdone eggs and burnt potato scone. Partner had eggs Benedict also overdone and cold but also had the continental option of toast, cereal, fruit cup, yoghurt and a few pastries. 3 out of 5.

Nice hotel in a unique setting. Bit dated and needs some updating to reach full potential - same feeling goes for whole of New Lanark. It's a real shame as the whole attraction feels like it's not quite there yet and felt a bit like a ghost town. Lovely walk to waterfalls though. Food was excellent and so we're staff.

Biggest downside was having to wait for 45 mins for my dinner. When it arrived half was missing ( haggis and sauce ) and what was on the plate looked awful , so not such a chicken supreme. I declined to eat the food or have it topped up with the missing parts. The lady sitting next to me also suffered the same fate.
To be fair the Manager came to my room with apologies and offer of a sweet instead. Also declined as I had lost my appetite by then. Took the free drink offered at the bar.

Hotel itself was bueatifull. Pool facilities lovely. When we had dinner the items on the menu they didnt have. Wasnt asked for ages if we wanted a drink costomer service at dinner poor untill a young girl had to try sort it out.

The views from our room was stunning, everything was perfect. It's spacious and classy and has everything you need. It's a beautiful hotel with the added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and steam room. Will definitely return.

Love staying here - fabulous location, excellent breakfast, lovely leisure facilities, clean and spacious rooms. There has definitely been some staff training - a noticeable improvement this visit in customer relations. The bar is a bit dark, dingy and tired.
