One night stopover and very good indeed. Very comfortable clean room, good shower , decent breakfast and very friendly staff.

Love our stay at The Crown, its set in a beautiful village. Its an ancient building, loved the quirkiness & all the different steps & levels.
The staff were friendly & efficient. The room clean & appreciated the tea, coffee & biscuits.
Breakfast was busy but tasty food. Will definitely stay again.

Amazing historical building in the Cotswolds (dating back to 16th century). Staff is kind and helpful. Was greeted warmly and shown to our rooms. The bar is quaint and welcoming. Restaurant is fine. Windows are an incredible example of time period.
Hotel needs work. Paint is peeling, rooms need to be painted (chipped paint, nails left on walls from previous hangings, pictures hung in strange places (partly behind bed?). Collection of spider webs in various parts of the hotel (one pic included)
All this, but we would stay again due to location & to see improvements. The views are amazing!

Warm welcome. Parking somewhat of a challenge with a narrow gateway to negotiate. Food good. Very good value compared to other properties in the area.

I arrived just before 9pm, checked in, went down for dinner, around 9.06, only to be told that they finish serving. I had driven a long way and was starving, i was only 6 minutes late, people were still eating in the restaurant, In sure tbey could have knocked something together for me.

We had two large single rooms which were clean and simply furnished. Quiet welcome by ataff but efficient and friendly. Would have appreciated decaff tea and coffee and semi skinned milk in room Nice location Misled by website which said smaller food options available in restaurant. Breakfast room and food very good and excellent service

The place was quite good and the staff were lovely it was just the room we stayed in had a constant noise through the walls, unsure what it was other than that it was lovely

A historic and charming hotel with the most wonderful service. The waiters and reception gentlemen were all delightful and the food was superb.
One snag is tricky entrance to the car parking, but done carefully I managed to get a pretty large vehicle in and there was plenty of room in the car park.

Staff very friendly and helpful. We only stayed for one night but we would return if in the area again. The food was excellent choosing to have an authentic Sri Lankan meal. There were other options available to

All fine. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Reception v helpful with an early check in. 9It is not always possible but they have contingency plans.)

Olde worlde English pub but quite shabby. Towels were threadbare and the bed sheets not much better. Outside the room in the drive was an unseated drain cover which banged every time a car drove over it. Parking was adequate and the surrounding typical tourist Cotswold village was charming. However for the price I would expect more.

In a very pretty village which deserves a better hostelry.
On arrival we had a disorganised check in and were taken up a dingy corridor with worn carpets to a room with a small bed and antiquated bathroom which smelt.
It was stuffy uncomfortable and noisy.
In the morning we did not stay for breakfast but the previous night’s glasses and plates had not been cleared away
