A good hotel - rooms size is ok but not an excess of space for storage of luggage. Good large clean bathroom and comfortable bed, very quiet. Buffet breakfast excellent with v friendly staff. Nice spacious dining area. Outdoor warm pool great though could go with some sunshades. Indoor pool v hot but that’s why you come to mineral spar hotel. Only real complaint was gym, far too hot at 27 to 30c portable aircon woefully inadequate good range of weights and limited multi use gym machine, running machines totally dilapidated any way far too hot for aerobic exercise. Hotel is in great location for local restaurants and seeing hot springs. Also good base for exploring eastern end of island, Hotel was good (except for gym)

On the edge of the town, surrounded by beautiful Parkland. This small top of the range hotel really has no falts that I I could find. The service was great throughout, the decor and rooms were well appointed. The pools and spa were amazing, completely unique. I eat dinner and breakfast there and really, they were top notch. This is a rather boring review, but it must be one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It is expensive, and often hotels at this price can't be as good as you hope, but this one is, at least for me. Whether there's enough here to stay for, say, a week I'm not so sure. I stayed for one night and it was the most memorable part of my stay in the Azores.

We spent 4 nights in this hotel and felt welcome, comfortable and safe. We chose this hotel primarily because of the spa area with 2 pools and 3 saunas. We always really enjoyed this spa area. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful. The chambermaids even vacuumed the carpet every time they cleaned the room; we think that's absolutely brilliant. We only used the breakfast buffet; we really enjoyed it (especially the orange juice and the delicious scrambled eggs). We can only recommend this hotel; it's just great! Many thanks to the hotel!

The location was great, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a couple issues with the our room, mostly that the shower didn’t drain and would overflow onto the bathroom floor within minutes. It was a bummer to have an upgraded room with the pool, and be dealing with a silly issue like that.

Awesome hotel! The staff were wonderful and the room was well appointed! Loved the big towels and comfy robes. The bed was a little firm for my preference. The hot spring pool is amazing. Spent hours there relaxing and taking advantage of the sauna and Turkish bath as well. I used the gym twice and had no problems, though one of the treadmills wasn’t working. Would definitely come back!

The heated pools of various temperatures, saunas, and the location near gardens and a cute town filled with thermal pools was truly lovely. The hotel was nice in many ways and the staff was helpful. My only reservations about it were that it was roughly double the price of other hotels including the other Octant hotel in Punta Delgada.

The staff was super attentive. We had a room with a plunge pool and it was very nice to have some personal relaxation space. The location is really convenient.

The water features where amazing. The facility was beautiful, but a bit rough in some of the rooms from what appeared to be water damage.The staff was wonderful and genuinely interested in enhancing your stay. Joao helped us prepare a Cozido, where we placed food in a large pot that we later transported to the inground ovens heated by the volcano. It was delicious. Very memorable.
