The localisation is perfect if you need to go to CNRS or the university. The bus 70 stops almost in front of it and you can also walk 2-3 min and be in the bus final stop and catch the bus before it leaves so you can wait seated and warm in cold weather. The hotel have 3 floors and no elevator, so not recommended for people with special needs or not phisically prepared to go up and down with stairs.

The hotel staff were very nice--among the best I have meet in France. Unfortunately, that did not make up for the very small room, which was about as simple and unfurnished as it gets, and the lack of air conditioning. The breakfast was fine. It is not a bad place, esp. if one can get a room at a good price, but there should be better options in town.
