The property was a 3 minute walk to the shopping, restaurants, and cafes. The place being off the main road made it a nice quiet place to stay. There were 2 entry door one with a key and one with a card, then the door to get into the room so yes very safe.

Conveniently located in the centre of Sorrento making it the perfect base to explore the Amalfi coast. The apartment is modern and clean with a continental breakfast served in the room. Very reasonably priced for the great location! Parking nearby made it easy for us to get around by car which comes with high price but this is normal for the area.

Great spot to post up for a night. The room was compact but well designed. Great for vacationing; if working remote, fine for one person but a bit challenging finding space for two people to set up. Wonderful staff and communication.

Our stay in Sorrento was absolutely amazing thanks to Isa. She gave us recommendations throughout, gave us an early breakfast when we needed it, and she was extremely welcoming. The location is perfect and we cannot wait to come back.

A beautiful property located in a prime location for exploring Sorrento. It was only a short walk into the centre and had all the amenities you would need. The room itself was very modern and the host was quick at responding and very helpful with any enquiries.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is not a traditional "hotel" but rather 4 apartments converted to very nice rooms. Our 2 rooms had balconies overlooking the garden with a view of a mountain. It was peaceful. Close to the main action but it had a neighborhood feel. Across the street was a fresh vegetable market, wine store, laundromat, bakery and a good market on the corner. What more can you ask for when traveling?! Would highly recommend this property. If you need immediate attention, coffee in the lobby, front desk attendant, this is not the place for you. Lisa, owner came in every morning with our breakfast and made our coffee!

The room was nice but it was not the area shown in photos. No pool which was also shown and far from the center, was told we could leave our bags and explore for the day and once we were there we told we weren’t aloud or if we did it was at our own risk. Wasn’t very happy with the stay

Cute little place in a somewhat quiet area. Walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Friendly staff when checking in. Comfortable bed, decent sized room, great shower! The breakfast served at the door was a nice touch and well appreciated. Weird check in system, as it is an apartment converted into a hotel. We could hear the neighbours (mostly their kids) screaming at 10pm. Not so pleasant. Also, the property’s description states access to a pool, which is nowhere close to that location. It literally is in a nearby city, which takes about 15 minutes by public transportation. What a disappointment. Finally, on our checkout date, the receptionist was quite rude and pushy, as we were running behind a couple of minutes, and we felt rushed and unwanted.

The Melrose Sorrento was a great home base for me whilst traveling around the coast. It’s not a traditional hotel in terms of the check-in process. There were a few communication mishaps for my arrival, but it was easily worked out with a phone call. I missed a train in Naples, so ended up arriving later than planned, so had to communicate with the hotel about updated arrival time. The property is close to the train station and the center of everything. It’s 5 minute walk to the main square of shops and restaurants. My only note of concern for some travelers is to be mindful that this property is in an apartment building. It’s basically a converted apartment split into 4 rooms. If you’re a light sleeper, this may not be the place for you. You can pretty much hear everything that’s going in with your neighbors and in the hallway. The free breakfast was good…cheese, pastries and my cappuccino was amazing! The actual room was lovely, smartly designed with a cute little balcony overlooking a small lemon grove. The bed was very comfortable too! It was a great place for sleeping, but if you have visions of sleeping in and having amazing window views, I’d reconsider. For me, it was great and I’d definitely return!
