Amazing customer service when we arrived.

Staff and management were outstanding. The young lady that checked us in was pleasant, welcoming, and efficient. At breakfast two managers greeted us, one asking about our stay. I told her that everything was fine with one minor exception; the air conditioning unit was somewhat noisy. She asked what room my wife and I were staying in. When I told her she said she would have a maintenance man look into right away. It was kind of like when one eats at a nice restaurant and the manager stops buy your table and asks about your meal and service, notices that you need a water refill and gets it for you rather than asking the waiter to get it.

My room had an exceptionally comfortable bed with great pillows when I usually don’t sleep on. Room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again. I can’t comment on breakfast because I wanted to sleep as long as possible.

The staff member who checked us in was super friendly. The breakfast staff was great. The elevator was hot, however the hallways in floor 2 were SWELTERING and smelled funny. It was to the point where the AC in my room meeting the hot hallway's hot air made my room like a steam sauna. My sheets were wet to the touch. I stayed in this hotel while I was in town to have outpatient surgery so that I did not have to drive home to Atlanta the day of my procedure. The last thing i wanted to do was come back from my procedure to lay on damp sheets. Yuck. They were unable to accommodate a room change and just gave my husband sheets. Aside from that, the side entrance door that should be key secured 24/7 per the sign does not close all the way. It remains open much of the time since it is hard to catch that it does not close behind you if you use your key for entry. Management should fix this as it could be a security risk and a liability to them. All in all this spot was just average. I have no idea how it would have a 9.2 rating. Not saying this in a nasty way. The staff was super nice, but this is definitely just your average mid grade hotel/motel that is above motel 6 but below the hilton. Just a spot to catch some zzz's.

We stayed overnight on our way between Florida and Louisville. The room was clean, the bed was so comfy. The sheets were very smooth and nice. The choice of pillows so nice as well. The breakfast and coffee were good. Overall a very comfortable and relaxing overnight stay. Holiday Inn Express seems to be a reliable hotel chain with excellent value for the cost. I will start with Holiday Inn Express whenever we travel.

Everything was great except the cleanliness of the shower floor. There were hairs left there from the last occupant.
