Did not realize the room did not have air conditioning when booking for July. Temperature was fine with the fan and windows open, however we were woken up a few times due to loud noises in the street and kids yelling until midnight. Location was convenient and with the transportation card, very easy.

Parking was inside their hotel, immaculate rooms, receptionist spoke English and gave us free passes for bus service and advice about things to see in Bern. Friendliest receptionist we dealt with in Switzerland.

This hotel is not far from town center. Two stops by tram from town center, and less than 10 min from center. The hotel staff is very friendly. Hotel provides coffee and fruits in the hall. Highly recommend this hotel.

This has not been our first stay at the Waldhorn. This time it was a mixed experience. The hotel overall is very comfortable, very clean with very nice bedlinen and towels.Breakfast outstanding with a rich buffet and delicious Birchermuesli. We had to ask to be put in a different room because of the shower facilities. The first room had a step over the bath shower which i then wasn't able to operate or it just didn't work. On top I was extremely nervous to fall because the floor of the bath was extremely slippery. For the following two nights we were put in a room with just a walk-in shower. That seems to be fine but the next morning I slipped in the shower and fell very badly, hitting my head, knees, arms suffering severe bruising. When i reported it to the manager first, I felt he didn't much care but his attitude changed and he was quite helpful in the end. I did however feel it was my problem to slip on a slippery floor. For this reason I feel I wouldn't come to this hotel again because I think the shower facilities are dangerous for elderly people. I feel very sorry but also annoyred as I waisted a whole day of a short holiday in bed recovering from a bad fall. The bruises are still showing, I could have broken a hip but mercifully I didn't.

Traveling by car so it was convenient to have onsite parking….. but a very unique way of parking. Rooms are quite small but comfortable. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Within a block of a bus stop which gets you to the heart of the Old City in less than 5 minutes - buses run very frequently

The staff was super nice and welcoming. There is coffee and tea for free at the reception and I also got a water bottle for free in the room. The tram station is very close, but you can also walk to the center.

Perfect place if arriving in Bern by car. Garage is under the hotel and price is reasonable. The breakfast was good and enjoyed the included tram pass, coffee and snacks in the lobby.

We arrived earlier than the check in time, hoping to leave our bags in storage and were pleasantly surprised to be able to check in, We were also given a transit pass, something that is given to hotel guests in Bern. This made this very easy for us to take the tram, The hotel was very easily accessible to the Old Town, only about 5 stops away. very convenient. Breakfast was fabulous.
