The house was probably amazing in its day. However, that's a long time ago and the house is really "tired" with a ton of deferred maintenance. Many of the electrical outlets don't work, including in the master bathroom. Many of the lights in the house don't work. The front door is pretty beat up and flimsy. The house is not very clean. There are stains on the floors, walls and on virtually every piece of furniture inside and outside. The path up to the house is unstable (a combination of rocks, dirt and big paving stones) and probably not too safe for anyone over 50. There were no instructions about how to operate the TV's, or wifi or anything at all, a first in our experience of renting. The refrigerator oddly opens into a wall. The view is great as advertised, but our stay was nowhere near "5 stars" as the host suggested it would be. On the second to last day of our stay, the owner scheduled a team of surveyors who came to the house, propped open the locked front gate and spent 3+ hours walking around the property, backyard. I contacted the host about all of the issues, including the surprise visit by surveyors, but have not heard back. The rental is overpriced and the host should definitely disclose more about the condition of the house if she rents it in the future. We assume the host is having it surveyed because she is considering tearing it down, which might not be such a bad thing.

This listing is absolutely not accurate to the pictures or description listed. We could not stay at this property and had to check into a hotel due to safety concerns and lack of communication with property manager. Upon arrival both locks did not work (it took about 20 tries to open the door), which is extremely unsafe when traveling with a baby, in case of an emergency. The lock codes do not appear on the locks (electronic) and you have to guess where the numbers are and upon entering the property, reality was not at all as pictured. Everything was dirty, Amazon packages left on the floor, odd paintings all over the house that are not clearly shown in the listing. AC units broken. Terrible experience and property manager is not issuing a refund and does not communicate with you. I would pass on this place.
