A really nice boutique style hotel in wonderful Paraty. Terrific central location a short walk down the famous cobbled streets to the centre square. Hotel room was a decent size, nice bedding, comfortable mattress but the A/C did not work very well, we moved rooms and found the A/C just as poor. The units required gas to make them cold. Pool area with bar and restaurant were fantastic and much needed as it was very very hot. Food was nice too, had lunch here one of the days. Breakfast was ok, a bit average but the coffee poor, I ordered a “machine coffee” with breakfast and was charged, one of my pet hates in a hotel of this calibre. Nice coffee should not be a chargeable item with breakfast! Staff were really friendly and helpful with many English speakers. Would recommend and would definitely return.

Property is very charming. Colonial style. Beautiful pool and garden area. Staff was VERY pleasing! So nice! Breakfast was great and food was fresh. Great service. Double room (family room) could have been a little more spacious but since it's an old building....Well maintained though. Front desk was very clean and fresh all the time.

The hotel was 1/3 occupied. I had requested a quiet room. Mistakes happen: On arrival I received a street corner room - loud. I requested a change. Receptionist Bruno shouted at me! Reservations tried to help but needed OK from Manager. Manager Adriano, refused a room change in nearly empty hotel. I was exhausted, struggling with 5 hours time difference. Room loud: Cars, motorcycles, people chatting etc. To sleep a bit, I had to lie down on the bar sofa. Documented, informed hotel.com and requested return costs first night. As yet nothing happened. Next day the Manager tried not to speak to me. He wanted to turn me out of the hotel because apparently they have no quiet rooms: All rooms to the swimming pool and to the garden are quieter. These seem to be blocked for Brazilians. Managed to get a small but quiet room. I got a bad cold - maybe due to exhaustion ... By chance I met the Mr.Adriano once again. On asking why he had refused the room change: “we had to ask all that had reserved if they agreed to the room change” - by near empty hotel.

This place had everything; pool, sauna, massage options, a beautiful bar close to the pool, little shop, nice breakfast and lounge area. The rooms are just incredible. We had a room with two showers next to eachother.. one of them with open roof. Evertything is just so clean and perfect in the small details. We just had to book another night and stay longer..

Very helpful staff. Value for the paid money. The only challenge is that the windows face the street and as so it can be quite noisy.

Everything was good except that we really couldn't access Wifi in our room(206). Also, throughout the night we could hear water pipes running water. Because of its central location, there was too much noise from the streets below. A woman shrieked so loud around 3am that anyone might have thought she was being attacked . Wouldn't pay so much for a sleepless night, and very poor service at the bar in the evening.

Very charming hotel and the staff was quite helpful. Room was large and very comfortable. Beautiful pool and courtyard. It was very nice to have water near the front desk for guests to enjoy throughout the day. The breakfast was nice with many choices. We would stay here again.

Located on the edge of historic center of Paraty. The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful. When we weren't happy with our first room, they changed it without hesitation

This is a beautiful pousada with a perfect location right in the old town. The front desk staff, however, is lacking - and know that if you don't speak Portuguese it will be difficult to communicate with them. The staff isn't knowledgeable about buses out of Paraty or directions to get to popular restaurants and destinations. Some are helpful but many are not.
