Our stay was just wonderful. The house is beautifully restored and very comfortable. It has a front porch with comfortable chairs that over looks the water.
It has a very comfortable lounge arrive with comfy large leather chairs. And the cooked to order is just delicious.
Finally I must say the inn keepers Ginny and Lori are warm and welcoming.

I cannot say enough great things about this location and the service! The space is beautiful and well maintained. The views are wonderful and the amenities are top notch. The room was spacious and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious! I HIGHLY recommend booking a stay here! I wish I could have stayed longer!

Our family’s stay at Captain Sweetser’s Inn was wonderful. We were kindly welcomed upon arrival and given a tour of the historic mansion. Our room was immaculately clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. Our 13-year-old still raves about the breakfast. And the view of the bay from the beautifully maintained property grounds is excellent.

Beautifully renovated and decorated to its original era. Very nice large room with private bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Warm welcome upon arrival with lots of historical facts shared which was really interesting. Other than creaky bed frame, everything was perfect. We loved staying here and will go back!

Captain Sweetser's Inn was the highlight of our vacation. Lori and Ginny are very thoughtful and full of information on the history of their property and the community. Lori guided us to some excellent restaurants. The Inn is very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was perfect.

Lori and Ginny were fabulous hosts! From the warm welcome in the driveway, to a tour and history of the home, breakfast in the morning and sweet conversations! It was such a treat from other types of travel! A reminder what a difference these details and personal interactions can really have on your trip. I had such a nice stay and recommended this B&B to anyone traveling to the area!

There were road repairs underway on US-1 right outside the front door, which makes for traffic inconvenience, noise, and an asphalt smell, but I'm not sure there's much you can do to mitigate that given the location. Staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, accommodating for our being hideously behind schedule and late in our arrival. Electric car charger is a 120V plug, which gave us enough mileage on our car to have flexibility in planning the rest of our trip. Our daughters adore this house and want to come back!

Our family spent the night on our way back to Canada, and we were very happy with our stay. The place was exceptionally clean, well-cared for and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and check-in, check-out was easy. Would definitely recommend.

The hostesses were amazing. We had a great breakfast every day and they made sure that the kiddos were completely happy with their breakfast as well. There were also several board games available for them to play. Comfortable beds and great view from our room! We would highly recommend for couples and families alike.

It was a delight to stay at Captain Sweetser's Inn. The hosts thought of so many details and were very accommodating for those needs that were specific to me. A warm welcome, helpful suggestions about the area, and delicious breakfast stand out as highlights. I will be recommending this place!

Lori and Ginny are wonderful hosts! They serve you delicious breakfast every morning, the rooms are very clean and the decor is subdued and calm. They have games available for you to play and books with a maritime theme and local history. Lori gave great recommendations on restaurants and what to do and where to go as our schedule was unplanned and wide open. Have I mentioned the sunroom? GORGEOUS and COMFORTABLE! Leather couch and recliner and a fabric recliner as well. A table with I think it was chess set up at one end…. STAY HERE! You won’t regret it!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed hearing about the history of the home from Lori. The rooms are spacious and beautifully restored and decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom, immaculate. Breakfast prepared by Ginny was delicious and plentiful. We prefer the charm and hospitality of a B&B over a hotel anyday!

Our stay was fabulous. Our host were above and beyond my expectations. They were so friendly and told us the history of the place we stayed. Just can’t say enough about their hospitality. Their breakfasts were fabulous and made sure all that were at breakfast got what they liked. And everything was fresh and hot. I just can’t say enough about them. I brought my autistic 33 year old granddaughter with me for a wedding and they were so sweet and kind to her. I would return anytime to them.

Ginny and Lori were perfect hosts in this well-maintained, clean, spacious, and comfortable B&B. The personal touch and extra effort exhibited by both is noteworthy. Experts in the local area and history. Special requests gladly accepted and always addressed. The food was delicious. The temperature and climate was perfect. I had the best sleep in weeks. Truly a home away from home.

Lori& Ginny gave us a delightful visit 06/14/23. Beautiful grounds, nice porch views and a comfortable room. In addition, a good breakfast to get us forward on our trip. Fun folks to talk to as well! And excellent coffee and tea too. We plan on a return visit to stay when visiting the area sooner rather than later.

Received a nice welcome and given history of the Inn. What a beautiful home with large rooms. My bedroom upstairs had a wonderful view of the bay. Very nice inn keepers who were very welcoming. So nice to come down in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee and be served a wonderful breakfast.

Antique bed squeaks all night with every movement. Mattress was not good for our backs. But that can happen. Very nice hosts!!
