The Space:
My Boutique Stay welcomes you to this charming Iron Mill House, built in 1860, where the huge water wheel powered machinery to shape iron tools. The property is filled with original features, a charming trip to times gone by.
This 3500sq ft property is set out over three floors. Private ground-floor access takes you to a self-contained double bedroom with a lounge area, en-suite and triple-glazed window over the rushing river.
Step out from the ‘River Room’, and stone steps to the front door on the first floor and into a large open-plan living space. Filled with light and stylish furnishings, here you have everything you need for a family getaway or dinner parties with friends.
Double doors lead out to a raised terrace. The views from the terrace over the 1.5-acre wildlife-filled garden, riverside and wood-fired hot tub are unincumbered. There is a BBQ and outdoor seating for your enjoyment.
The bedrooms have comfortable beds, hotel-quality linens and large bath sheets for all guests. We provide Faith in Nature toiletries for guests to use during their stay with us at Iron Mill House.
Guest Access:
Enjoy unrestricted access to the entire property and garden. Do note, this is a cherished family home; you might encounter a few personal touches, but rest assured it's tailored for our esteemed guests.
There are 8 steps up to the main entrance with a solid handrail and the same from the raised terrace at the rear. The grounds around the property are slightly uneven.
There is a WC on every floor.
Private parking is available for 4 cars.

Regular busses operate from the top of Iron Mill Lane into Bath and to Frome train station. A 5-minute stroll from the property.
Taxi
It's best to pre book a taxi to and from the train station. Call Shawn at Smile Taxis to arrange.
Bus
Excellent bus links connect to neighboring towns such as Glastonbury and Wells. Frequent busses to Bath and Trowbridge. The bus stops are along Bath Road minutes from Iron Mill House.
Other Things to Note:
The hot tub is available on request at a £70 surcharge including logs. The hot tub is fuelled by wood so requires you to build a fire. It will take a minimum of 2 hours to heat up so allow plenty of time to prepare.
The 4th bedroom is in the Annex (river room) below the main residence.
There is a Gas BBQ
Swimming in the river is at guests own risk. The river can be fast flowing after rainfall and due care and attention should be taken. All children should be accompanied by an adult.
Due to the nature of the original floors and interior architecture, stairs etc the property may not be suitable for smaller children. It is advisable to wear slippers inside the house.
Check in is at 4pm and checkout is at 10am. Early/late check-in/outs are available on request for a small fee.
We can provide a travel cot and high-chair on request.
