This was the second time we’ve stayed at Laz’s place. The condo provided everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The beds and futons are *very* comfortable. Clean linens. Reliable wifi. Small, but functional functional kitchen and washer/dryer. Check-in was extremely easy and Laz communicated in advance with complete instructions for accessing the condo and everything thing we needed to know to enjoy our stay. I had a question during the weekend and he responded right away. The location is perfect - walking distance to the village and slopes, but tucked away in a quiet section of the resort. Bonus: the market is practically right across the street.

This property was in close proximity to the village. Was about a 5 minute walk to the pool and 10 to the festival. Very quiet, very roomy. It exceeded my expectations.

I’ve been going to snowshoe for 30 years.I have stayed at numerous rentals and this is definitely on my favorite list.I’m so glad I booked it for 2 trips.I’ll be back February 6-9..

The leatherbark condo is very close to expedition station (a quick walk), clean, and comfortable. We had a great stay!

We have been visiting Snowshoe for many years and stayed at most of the places offering accommodations. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at. The accommodations were very clean, well decorated and spacious. There were 5 of us (3 kids) and at no time did we feel closed in. The alcove or den area was a great place for the kids to hang out. Laz was very accommodating and responded to emails very quickly answering any questions we had. We had an easy time to getting to the slopes using the bus service. Skiing was awesome as usual and the restaurants in the village were equally as good. We ate at the waffle house, the Junction and Cheats Pizza. We used the kitchen often for our own home cooked meals. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing ski trip. We would definitely consider this place in the future.

We had made our reservations in October, 2015 to celebrate our daughter's 24th birthday weekend. Laz responded to our inquiry within the 24 hours as stated on the website. The reservation process was quick and effortless. However, last week as Storm Jonas was coming upon us, I was fretting whether or not we would be able to continue with our plans. Our daughter was arriving from KY and her boyfriend was traveling from VA. Laz provided us with options due to the approaching storm. We traveled before the storm and arrived on the Mountain just as the storm was coming through. It was a winter wonderland the whole weekend and beautiful when we left on Sunday. The condo was comfy and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The condo was clean, the master bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels, blankets and pillows available. I recommend his condo at Snowshoe Mountain. I travel there once a year for a conference in October and perhaps will contact Laz for that week of the conference instead of another facility. I am glad we packed a snow shovel.

We thought the condo provided a great value for our 4 night stay over New Years weekend. The beds were comfortable, as was the futon. The condo was very clean and well appointed. It is an older unit with a slight walk to the village and ski lift (maybe 2-300 yards?) , but the shuttle stops right behind the complex if you want to use it. This unit at Leatherbark offers a nice place for a family of 5 to have plenty of space to relax and enjoy spending time together watching TV, playing games, etc. 2 bathrooms was also nice. Four televisions (bedroom TVs probably need upgrading, but they work fine) and cable with HBO movie channels included, which was nice. The kitchen is quite small with really room for only one person comfortably but the pantry is large with plenty of room for storing food and supplies, etc. The owner was wonderful to work with and very responsive during the process -- he also quickly answered questions I had concerning the area. Very positive experience. We'd definitely stay there again. We didn't have snow 2 of the 3 days we were there which was disappointing, but that's Mother Nature! The skiing was fantastic on the day we did ski. SnowShoe is a great place for a family -- our first time, but won't be our last.

Fantastic location to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Snowshoe Mountain , WV. Very clean comfortable accommodation for our group. Nice fireplace and amenities. Just needed to go to Wal-Mart and load up on food for the couple days if you want to cook but also ate at nearby restaurants as well. Walked out front to the market store and saw 4 deer just walking around. What a site for us Miami people. Walking distance to ski lifts, Ski School, Shopping. Bus transportation picks up in front of complex as well for added convenience. Parked our car in parking lot provided and did not need to use until we left. Highly recommend this unit and hope to be back in the future.

Our group of 5 certainly enjoyed staying at this property. The beds were great and the layout was comfortable and roomy. The sleeper sofa suffers from the typical problems of all sleepers...a little wear and age and the thin mattress becomes useless (because of the support bars underneath you can feel when you lay on it). The person using the sleeper just placed the sofa cushions on the mattress and slept on them; problem solved! Everything worked as it should and we enjoyed the electric fireplace. Thanks for providing such a lovely place. We will be trying to stay there again on our next ski trip.

GOOD PLACE FOR A 4 DAY WEEKEND SKI TRIP. THE CONDO WORKED GREAT FOR THE 4 OF US. IT WAS A LITTLE FARTHER FROM THE SLOPES THAN I WAS ANTICIPATING, BUT WE MANAGED WELL. THE PLACE IS NICE AND BIG LEAVING LOTS OF ROOM TO MOVE AROUND. BEDROOMS ARE NICE AND BIG. BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND EVERYONE SLEPT GREAT. KITCHEN'S PRETTY TIGHT, SO DEFINITELY ONE COOK IN THE KITCHEN. EVERYTHING WORKED WELL EXCEPT FOR DVD PLAYER. INSTRUCTIONS ARE THERE AND EASY TO FOLLOW, BUT T.V. WONT SWITCH TO AUX TO RECOGNIZE THE DVD PLAYER. LOVE THE HANGERS ON THE WALL FOR THE SKIS, POLES, AND JACKETS! IT'S A VERY WARM RELAXING PLACE! LAZ (THE OWNER) COMMUNICATES WELL VIA EMAIL OR TELEPHONE AND IS VERY FRIENDLY. CONDO IS ON MAIN LEVEL AS YOU WALK IN FROM PARKING LOT. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND.

The Leatherbark condo is very good in every way. It is convenient to the Village and easy to enter from the parking lot, (which had been cleared very well after a deep snow), comfortable (the beds are very good, the temperature in the condo was warm even with sub-zero temperatures outdoors, the living area has a very "homey" and cozy feel to it), very clean in all the rooms. The kitchen area is suitable for one person, but adequate. It is very well appointed with everything we needed for cooking and serving. I rate it a 4.5 because a few items needed to be repaired. These did not interfere with the enjoyment of our stay. We are four adults, so we had plenty of room. We would definitely recommended it to others.

Where do I begin? The condo is extremely inviting and comfortable, whether you have a small or large group. There is plenty of space to enjoy downtime when you are not on slopes, and its location is perfect. We were there for 6 nights and never had an issue the entire time. Laz is probably one of the easiest people I've worked with when trying to book a place to stay at Snowshoe, and I've been traveling to the resort for 8 years. There isn't a single negative thing I have to say about either the condo or Laz, and I can't wait to book another trip back to the mountain.

This is a gorgeous property. The condo is extrememly spacious and has everything you need. It is a short walk to the slopes which is nice! We had great weather the entire weekend and it was lovely to watch the snow fall outside the window! Thanks for having us!!!

Excellent location within walking distance to the village center. Really enjoyed the accommodations. The back room is the best place to enjoy the view of the back yard meadow for deer viewing. Recommend early-to-mid morning to look for deer in the back yard meadow area. Easy walk to the lift area or can get bus at the main driveway entrance of the Leatherbark complex. An alternate way to lift is to walk to Soaring Eagle, there is untraveled path between the Soaring Eagle and Leatherbark to go down Upper Flume ski trail. Highly recommend this rental … made wonderful memories with the stay within this location.
