Villa was clean and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. There is Huge terace with stunning ocean view (sunset, moonset). Free parking, pool, security (guys from security are also very kind) are available. The location is very convenient with shops and restaurants at walking distance. The host,John is kind and helpful. We definitely recommend this place.

We loved the location, the views were incredible and the apartment is huge. 3 big double rooms, 2 with a beautiful sea view from the beds.

The location for us was perfect as it was a bit further out than the centre. The property is at the top end of the beach and the final bit was a walk either down the beach through the neighbouring hotel or down a dirt road which in the rain wasn't ideal so we opted for taxis in the eves. But we liked the quiet so this wasn't really a negative

Great location overlooking the ocean close to famois tourist spot of Flic-en-Flac, apartment is modern with all amenities and very confortable with 3 bedrooms n 2 bathrooms.

Would be great to have some basic things like sugar, salt, pepper in the kitchen. Also a fan in each room would be great specially if not comfortable in an air-condition.

The penthouse is spacious and the air conditioners in the bedrooms work well. We spent most of our time on the under cover patio which is quite a large area. Making breakfast and eating outside in the morning whilst watching the ocean was amazing. Making supper in the evening on the barbecue and having dinner on the patio whilst soaking up the view was lovely. The lounge furniture on the patio is relatively new and comfortable. The pool was clean and inviting. If one walks towards the ocean and turns right their is a rock pool with a ladder where you can swim and snorkel in safety (just watch our for sea urchins on the ladder side of the pool). If you continue in the same direction the public beach is about 200 metres away. The property is in walking distance of shops, restaurants and an ATM (we did most of our shopping at Jumbo Express). The owner came to visit us to ensure that everything was in order. We stayed in Mauritius for two weeks in a number of different self-catering properties across the island and we rate this as one of the best and largest properties within this price range. Include a cleaning service, upgrade the mattresses, kitchen utensils, towels and the table on the patio, get rid of the broken furniture on the patio and we would have rated this property this property "10". All in all we had a great time at Ocean View (thank you John).

The mattress in the main bedroom was terrible (discussed with the owner to address). Some of the floor tiles are loose but not a deal breaker. The kitchen utensils are very basic and one would expect more upmarket kitchen utensils in a relatively upmarket property. The same goes for the towels which detract from what this property has to offer. The barbecue is a bit old and rusted and difficult to fire up. Broken furniture stacked in the corner of the patio. The table on the patio is falling apart. Strange disco ball hanging from the roof on the patio. Unfortunately one of the units near to us were busy installing a roof on their patio and the noise spoilt our stay slightly. The oceanfront area in front of the complex is unkept.

The location was amazing and so was the place and host John who catered to our every need. The apartment was huge and the beach was just at the doorstep.

There was no fan or air-conditioning in the main living room and it could get hot at times even if the windows/sliding doors are open. When on extended stay of 7 days, a mid cleaning by the host is appreciated.

Good price. Good location. Friendly host.

really big place and some great views

The apartment is situated on the edge of the town, but it is quite close to the sand beach (5-7 minutes of walking). What we loved was barbecue on the terrace - Mauritius has really great chicken and fishes selection so it is something what you should try. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need. In the middle of the complex there is a big clean pool and it is not very busy so you can enjoy it. and then.. the host is amazing - this makes the level of the accoodiation exceptional. Thanks for everything!

Would be nice to have cleaner daily. Dishwasher, Wine glass , Champagne glass and shot glass etc. Gas Bbq be ideal to have for couple as charchoal take time and too much hassle .

Excellent location, uninterrupted ocean views from the large balcony. Air-conditioning in every bedroom, great facilities and just a lovely place to stay. The host John was extremely helpful and even replaced the gas canister after hours so we could cook our last meal.

The host met us on arrival to hand over the keys and show us around.

It's not directly at the beach for swimming, the shower at the pool did not work. We had to clean the apartment when we arrived, many hairs where on the floor.

Amazing location, best value for money maybe in whole Mauritius. Very large apartment with oceanfront and huge terrace. The host and his staff were very helpful.

We would welcome some basic spices, oil, cleaning supplies, etc. for cooking and time spent in the kitchen. But that is a very minor thing.

Fantastic apartment, right at the beach. Very large with 3 bedrooms and a very big balcony. The apartment is fully equipped and the master bedroom has a large bed. The matrasses are firm, which we enjoyed very mucht, but might not be everybody's cup of tea. Wifi is very fast. It was good to find, since there was excellent communication beforehand with the owner. We were met at the gate (the whole complex is gated and has 24h security guard) by a very friendly lady who showed us around. From the apartment we really enjoyed our daily stroll over the beach to "downtown" Flic en Flac (about 10 minutes walking), where there are shops and restaurants.

It could use another fan in Kitchen / LR as it was+35c outside. Air on in bedrooms worked great.

We like the apartment very much: it is modern, bright and spacious. The view, especially the sunset view is wonderful. The balcony is also very large. The kitchen is small but functional for making easy meals like breakfast or salad. The host John is proactive to contact us asking for our arrival time etc. It felt a very safe place, because the entrance is to this apartment only and can be locked. The pool is very large, but not very clean when we were there. It is a nice and quiet area; one can only hear the ocean. A short walk along the sea front, we could reach the public beach.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the bed in the master bedroom is very hard. The towels are so old, need to be renewed. The bath-matters (old towels folded) were not washed in a very long time, they were so dirty, but I only noticed it after 3 days, then it was too late to wash them by ourselves! There is no dishwasher, we do not mind washing the dishes by hand, but the previous guests did not clean the dishes well, I had to wash 8 cups before use, because they were full of stains. My suggestion is to invest a small dishwasher (there is space for it). Another suggestion is to put a small dinning table and a few chairs on the balcony: the climate is so pleasant; it would be nice to be able to have breakfast or dinner on the balcony to enjoy the fresh ocean air.
