This property provided plenty of opportunities for outdoor fun. Our family enjoyed the outdoor eating area every night, the fire pit for s’mores, the nearby lake & pool areas for water fun, and our kids loved the playground out back (including daily visits from a deer family). We also enjoyed some hiking nearby. The weather was perfect for all our outdoor activities.

We throughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the access to pool, pickle ball courts, and lake. Kids loved swings on property.

Mattresses were comfy. Wi-Fi was good. Unfortunately, a culmination of poor housekeeping, neglected home maintenance, and a live wood tick in the master bedroom led to a lack of confidence that the European style bedding with no top sheets was actually clean. We left 2 nights early. Discussed with the owner after the fact, not asking or expecting anything. He was polite. He had explanations for most everything and assured us that the bedding was clean, but ultimately said I was at fault for not notifying him on the night we arrived. We were on vacation, and we didn’t want to spend any amount of time having to confront the housekeeper or owner.

We were a group of HS friends age 60+ coming together for the wedding of one friend's daughter at Stroudmour Inn. The house was perfect for what we needed and owners Tom and Olga thought of everything imaginable to make our stay easy and comfortable. Would recommend and would rent again on a heart beat!!!! Tom and Olga were great hosts, we had a few minor issues but over all it was a great place to stay. Centrally located and well equipped. Beds were comfortable.

Lovely property. Clean. Loved the sectional couch to curl up and watch a movie. Bedrooms are small. Backyard in disrepair. AC on main floor leaked. But owner was very accommodating. All in all. a nice place to stay.

I spoke directly with host who apologized and offered to have housekeeper come again but I ended up cleaning myself. There was sand all over floors and furniture. Sofa had sand, crumbs, food wrappers, and a lot of stains. I washed throws and put over to cover the sofa since I would not want my children sitting on such a dirty piece of furniture. The barbecue had foil with chicken skins left from previous renters and was very dirty. The sheets were dirty and only duvets with no top sheet so I was glad we packed our own. The neighborhood is gated, but there were police at house down the road at 10am on a Saturday morning. Pool was dirty (diaper wipes with feces left on only available pool chair, hair gobs floating in kiddie pool). Very loud ethnic music blasting from people’s cars. We left immediately. The lake was nice but had a lot goose poop. Fridge didn’t work properly so our frozen foods melted. Husband tried to change temp but fridge alarmed twice while we were there waking the kids because couldn’t reach -3 for frozens. Killed about 10 different types of spiders and crawlers during our stay. We tried to make the best of it but even my four year old said “I am happy not to be in that dirty house” when we got home.

Booked this property for a long weekend and it was perfect. We intended to go skiing and tubing but it was just so cold, we stayed in and we were very entertained. Great backyard with play set and toys, bunk beds (kids love bunk beds) and tvs to keep my son entertained. There’s also a playground that we walked to. It was a very cozy place, the fireplace provided great ambiance and warmth for the frigid weather. Beds were so comfortable. Just a great stay all around. Would book again. Thanks Tom and Olga ;)

Enjoyed gathering with family for wedding in this beautiful area. Warm house that met our needs

I’m not sure why this was so highly rated. My guess is that the reviews are all fabricated. I would give zero stars if possible. To start off the driveway is a hill of rocks so good luck getting your car in and out of the driveway without damaging your tires. Once inside the light in one of the bedrooms did not work. It would not turn on at all. The owner said he would come by to fix it but never did so we were stuck in the dark for our whole stay. There were spiderwebs next to the blankets by the fire place, and the bedroom with the queen bed had water bubbles in the wall which can be an early indication of a mold situation, which is a cleanliness issue. Additionally, there was no hot water in any of the bathrooms so we were stuck with either lukewarm or cold showers. To make matters worse the tv had no instructions and as technology savvy as I am, it took hours to figure out how to operate the sound. None of us could figure out the tv sound situation. Finally, the worst part is the owner is not helpful at all with anything. I left a pair of $50 boots and a yoga mat and the owner refused to assist me with retrieving my belongings. He just kept saying the items were not there. I even volunteered to drive back myself to look but he insisted that my items were not left even though I am certain they were. If you are looking for a nice relaxing weekend do not stay here book another home. You’ll truly regret booking this house.
