The location of the house by the lake was a perfect setting. Even in November the view was amazing. Just the sort of place an author would escape to, to write a book! The house and location had a New England vibe. The area around the house & lake was beautiful, with lots of easy walks. The parking was easy. The house was a good size with a well equipped kitchen. Large table and good sized living area, with 2 large sofa's which looked out over the lake. Private decking area to sit outside. Bathroom upstairs plus shower room downstairs. Host very helpful. I suspect if you wanted an energetic holiday with water sports, this would be easily obtained as it was close to the De Vere hotel and lots of other lake facilities. Although bare in mind not all lakes are for water sport or swimming. There was a play area, table tennis hut and tennis courts available. Getting into and out of the gated community was easy. Don't be put off. Also the key lock was easy, if you miss the key hand over, like we did. Highly recommend. Will definitely look to book again. It was a perfect escape for my mum, my sister & myself to catch up and relax. We had such a great weekend.

Only a couple of minor points: The recycling facility could be better sign posted, so that we know where bottles, plastic, cardboard/paper goes. That is possibly a site management question but perhaps the host could add something to the welcome book to help with recycling. Only thing the kitchen didn't have, which we needed, was some weighing scales - although I appreciate that not everyone would be cooking their own meals. The kitchen is certainly big enough and well equipped enough to handle plenty of cooking and baking.

Described as bathroom on suite which it was not. Had to climb into bath for hand held shower. It would be far better to have bath removed and proper shower installed.

Facilities in the lodge and play areas for tennis and football. Mark made us very welcome and was able to extend our stay thank you.

The property was set within a beautiful lakeside setting. Perfect for a relaxing, peaceful break. Many lakes & water sports within walking distance. The property looked lovely and was well equipped with everything you need. The decking area was perfect for relaxing and overlooks the lake. The host Mark was very pleasant & helpful.

The cottage perfectly situated on the lake, in a beautiful tranquil setting.The grounds were immaculate and there is loads do; tennis, fishing, beautiful walks and nearby watersports.

Nothing was too much trouble, the facilities were great as was the location in this very well equipped property with some lovely extra touches. The view of the lake was perfect.

It is some 150 metres from the nearest parking area to the property. There are also 4 steps up to the front door. This is a little difficult for those with mobility problems.
