No free breakfast, but very good restaurant

Room was generally clean, very quiet location despite being on a main road.

Don’t think my sheets were changed. Found multiple black hairs in my bedding. Thankfully the room had two beds so we slept in the other one.

Hotel very clean. Liked the rooms and the decor. Ate dinner in the evening and breakfast in the morning and the food and staff all excellent. Would definitely recommend the restaurant at the Chebucto Inn and the hotel we loved it.

Yvonne in the office was excellent. She was extremely welcoming, helpful and informative before we arrived, even to the point of phoning a taxi company to find out how much it would cost to get there from the airport for me. She was also flexible and friendly about our early check-in, and cheerfully answered our many questions. It was a bonus to have the restaurant right on site, and although we were only able to have a light lunch there before leaving, the food was very good, the service was friendly and goods, and our meals were reasonably priced.

Only that it’s an older facility and that there’s not a lot of places to hang towels separately if there is more than one person staying in the room. A little traffic noise during the day, but quiet for sleeping at night.

The room was basic and the bed was like a rock.

We woke up to 7 Halifax Police cars, 2 police vans and several unmarked. They remained in the parking lot area for 2 more hours, no explanation was received and we felt trapped in the rooms. On departure and payment the staff still did not apologize or explain the scene.
