Clean and close to Shoreline Amphitheatre and restaurants
The general manager asked us 5 TIMES if we had more than 2 people staying. I mentioned we have 3 adults total and she waived the $10 fee. However when friends stopped by to drop off our 3rd friend, she watches from the office and called our room to again ask “how many people are staying? Do you have guests in the room? No visitors are allowed past 9pm”. When we returned from our concert, our key cards did not work, so we go down to the office and it is a ghost town; no staff. We ring a bell, nothing. We called the hotel phone and the same GM answers and asks why we did not ring the bell (we did). She came out in pajamas and re programmed our key card and followed up with “how many people are staying??” AGAIN! 🙄

The person working in the office/breakfast was not very nice. Maybe she was having a bad morning 😤😫

Room looked like it was recently remodeled and was very clean. Location was good.

The location was very good for our short visit to Mountainview and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The property seems to have been recently upgraded significantly. The bathrooms were equipped with a very nice shower. The breakfast was good though limited in selection. Parking was good and secure. Good value for the price we paid.
We found that the windows let in a fair amount of noise from passing vehicles on the street and conversations of guests in the hallways. The breakfast room was a bit small and on one morning it was "taken over" by a group of guests so that other guests had difficulty accessing the coffee dispenser and other items.

The room had an interesting odor, not a bad odor, but different - maybe cleaning chemicals?
The shower door was off it’s track and I had to put it back on.

It was a decent price for the location. We just needed a one night stay.
The rooms are pretty small. We had a hard time even finding the floor space to lay down the 4 suitcases we had with us. They could do to remove one of the big pieces of furniture. The Window treatments are pretty terrible and don't block out much light. Additionally they seemed to have extremely bright lights posted RIGHT infront of the window. I woke up at 2am, and thought it was 7am in the morning. SUPER bright. The window curtains don't go up very high, and there isn't a cornice box, or anything else to block out the light.

All newly updated - stunning shower (although the bathroom is tiny). There was free parking, continental breakfast (better than most) and Wi-Fi.
Only downside was the rooms open to the parking lot. (It’s an old ‘motor hotel’) But it’s tucked in off the road and felt safe.

I could not connect my laptop to Wi-Fi. I tried their 800 number and I could not connect to the IT support group. I had to use my iPhone as a hotspot to access the internet. Also the room curtains do not keep outside light from coming in at night. My room was fairly bright at night as my room was near an outside light. I prefer to sleep in dark rooms. I can live with the light, but the Wi-Fi was problematic for me.

nothing but location
this hotel has great reviews - that’s why I booked it. reviews seems to be total fake.
it’s classical cheap motel, with slightly dirty bed sheets.
breakfast is exceptionally bad, only - apples, yogurt, bread, cereal, coffee. I wouldn’t call it breakfast- it’s snacks.
rooms are very dark, tv has no use, didn’t work.
location is ok
but there are a lot of better places in this area

The room is cheap, clean and within walking distance of restaurants, bars and with a bit of effort also shopping. This is not to be underestimated, as the urban planning of American cities, and the placement of motels especially so, strongly favours automobility as the sole method of getting around. Especially the bath room is good, with a shower proper instead of a bath tub. Also, the shower has a rainfall head, which is always appreciated.
The breakfast is definitively underwhelming. Would appreciate an opt-out, which if I remember correctly was not marketed.

conveniently located - restaurants, Starbucks, many shops nearby. I needed to get in quickly, get some rest, and get out & get out my workday. Perfect for that situation. Had work meetings over zoom with no problem. sort of picky about having a comfortable bed and I was very pleased. Shower was awesome. It’s a small property and that made everything easier as well with plenty of parking.
Small amount of road noise in the AM and daytime, but I had earbuds, so it never caused me a problem. Road noise was not an issue at night.

Clean rooms, nice quiet environment. Great place to get in and lay your head down, so you're off to sleep.
Breakfast is very basic, which might be considered the minimum effort to be considered a breakfast.

The bathrooms are awesome! and better, nicer, cleaner than in any other motel/hotel on our trip (whether it was Holiday Inn, Best Western, you name it)

Great location. There are many restaurants around the hotel within 10 minutes by walk.
The room was clean and the bathroom was really new.
Bit chemical smells in the room. But, when opening the door/window for 30minutes, smelles were gone.
